Lol! I could see myself doing that with cereal. It's a good thing I don't buy cereal often. :D

bbell1985 - Thanks! That's the reason I put the weight down, it'll force me to put it on my diary entry (I put my food down before I eat it), so if I see my calorie count going up too much, I stop myself. I didn't want to do too much, just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.

My most recent NSV... I almost didn't go to the gym today. There was no school (I work at a high school), it is rainy, and I had a new game that I've been wanting to play. So my mindset was to stay home and relax. Well, that didn't happen. I started getting antsy and knew I'd be mad at myself if I didn't go. So I walked…

I find it's because I'm still in shock at what I see. I look in a mirror and expect to see someone 2x as large, and it's jarring (in a good way) to see how I am now.

I had just finished at the gym and started my walk home), when I bump into a student I knew, whom graduated last year. So he hasn't seen me since I started losing weight, and it ended up being pretty funny. He did about 5 double takes, unsure if it was really me. Then he started complimenting me about my weight loss and…

Had to buy new underwear yesterday. I had recently bought and fit into a size 30 pants, so I was looking at what size underwear I'd fit into, and according to the chart I'd be a small. I was extremely skeptical, but I figured if they didn't fit I'd keep them until they did and just buy some that would fit me. So I got them…

How annoying it gets when people keep telling me that I don't need to lose anymore weight, even though I'm still in the overweight category by a lot.

Not sure if this is a NSV or not... Went to Panera Bread today for my free coffee (I got one a day for 2 weeks), and medium is the largest free size you can get. But the guy at the counter told me to wait a second, put the medium cup away and gave me a large. He then winked and said to have a large instead. Not sure if it…

You all are so wonderful, your words mean a lot.

Thank you all very much. I started losing weight in the middle of August, so it's been about 6 months now. My tips would be to religiously weigh and record everything you intake, it all adds up quickly. And don't deny yourself foods you crave, that tends to end up leading to disaster; instead allow yourself to have it,…

Nope, just the staff shirts at the school I work at (front: we are; back: a huge k (stands for Kelso) and a bunch of positive traits all inside the k). I used to live in Pennsylvania for 6 years, but I'm in Washington state now. And again, thank you so much everyone for the amazing words of encouragement.

Wow! Really, thank you everyone. The support on MFP is always terrific. And a middle-schooler is usually between the ages of 11 and 14 (American grades of 6th grade through 8th).

Nah, my plan is to get to the middle to low range of my healthy BMI, then I want to start working out to get definition.
-
Again, thank you all for the support. You'll get there, just keep at it. I do walk a lot at my work, which definitely helps. But I find it's true what people say (at least for me), losing weight is 80% eating right and 20% exercise.

Thank you for all the kind words everyone.

Haha, thanks. I just hate having my picture taken. And thank you 100_PROOF_ and MadyMars2000

I'm now in a size 30 pants. I started off at a size 44, my earliest ones before the 30s was a 34. Feels good to completely skip 32s.

It was my birthday yesterday, and even though I still went over my calorie goal, I made sure to watch what I ate and didn't go over 2000 calories.

One of the students at the school I work at (someone whom I don't even know) commented to me that it looked like I was slimming down. Also I was able to turn down a cupcake at work today (it was a student's birthday). Made me sad, but proud at the same time.

How much I've started enjoying salads without any dressing. It used to be I had to drench it with ranch or whatever dressing was on hand. Now I find enjoyment in just the taste of the salad itself. Also how often I'd need to get new belts. It got to the point where I finally just bought one that has holes all throughout it.

Just got back from buying new exercise clothes from JCPenney. I figured I'd try on a medium shirt to see how much further I had to go before I could wear a medium. And the medium shirt fit! Now full disclosure, these t-shirts run a little big to begin with, but it is still a huge NSV for me.

You look absolutely amazing sueblue! I hope that you are proud of all the hard work you put into yourself, because you are an inspiration.

My belt is on the last hole, and I find myself having to pull my pants back up every once in a while.
-
I started off this diet starting to get into a XXXL shirt size and a size 40 pants. Now I'm noticing my size L shirts are getting loose and my size 34 pants have about 3 inches of extra room now.

Good morning Kittan (though in my neck of the world, it's 7:45 at night). Hope you have an awesome, and fit day.

Hey all, I'm always up for new friends to motivate and be motivated by. I'm gay and I've been with my partner for 12 years now.
-
Heya, how's it going?

For me, it was stepping out of the shower. I walked in front of the mirror, only to find myself completely disgusted with what I allowed myself to become. It was then that I decided I had to make a change, and fast. If I kept up with what I was doing, I wouldn't live very long, I just knew it. Not sure if it was the next…

Thanks to everyone who commented. It means a lot.
