  • For those watching B-12, according to the National Institute of Health in the US, they recommend 2.5 micrograms, which is about 1 tablespoon of Nutritional Yeast. I use it to make a nice cheese flavoring and usually more than 1 TB, so you're probably okay. My strict Vegan friends use it in a lot of stuff..
  • Hi everyone! I transitioned to a vegetarian diet a few years ago and then recently moved back to Vancouver Canada. I've lost my way ...giving in to easy and fast food. I've noticed a few interesting things that have also come back as a result, aches and pains, longer recovery times when I work out, general fatigue........…
  • Hey there! My doc said the same thing although to be sure, he's sending me to get an ultrasound. I'm 52 and started doing a kickboxing class a year ago, which I think made the issue worse. I didn't notice the problem before as I was a couch potato!! I also got a script for Physio. DR is a common issue in men that have the…
  • I have a Fitbit Charge 3. Seems easy enough to use and the apps are great. I mostly got it because the Fitbit can use my phone's GPS and track my walks, runs etc.. My only gripe is that it seems to generate a pile of steps for me, so I don't use that part of it as I don't believe it's very accurate.
  • Happy Friday! Sadly, I have to work the 2nd job for Saturday and Sunday, but July 1st is Canada day and we Canadians get the day off!
  • True..but in a class I can train with my much younger partner who helps push me. It's quite satisfying to win the occasional sparring match and get kudos from him like "I can't believe you're 50! " LOL!!
  • Yes!! I can see the end of this fight!!
  • Hi everyone! I'm 51 and live in Surrey, BC, Canada. I started Kickboxing for my 50th last year and managed to lose a few percent in body fat. I'm not looking to lose weight but more or less just get into better health. Turned over a new page last year and got away from my "soon to be ex" so the working out was a great…
  • Hi I'm Thomas from Surrey BC. I turn 53 this year, but in 2015 my relationship dissolved and I'm currently working on a new life...soon to be ex! (Thank the universe!) I spent the better part of 2016 feeling crappy for myself, grieving the loss of the marriage. In 2017 I left Salt Spring Island BC and returned to…
  • I'm in Vancouver BC. New start in life, new job...new health!! Feel free to add me. I haven't quite figured out how to do that yet.
  • I would have been fine for 6 months - food and water, plus access to a fully stocked freshwater lake. Now my ex-wife will be fine and I will be stuck in the city to fend for myself. On another positive note, there are plenty of fish and rabbits here in the suburbs of Vancouver as well as deer.

  • I soooo miss Nelson! Used to work for the RDCK 2013-2014. What a great place! I should have stayed... Check out this link https://www.nelsonkootenaylake.com/explore/recreation/hiking T
  • Going Plant based will definitely help. I was mostly plant based for years and even tried a raw vegan challenge for two weeks. You'll feel a lot better! Just have to make sure you get protein in your food, like chick peas. Rice and Beans make a pretty complete protein, just have to go easy on the rice part..sub brown rice…
  • Yay to friends...motivation is also great! Just turned 50 and am sick of being tired...so changing my life!
  • Hey everyone! Turned 50 last November and am turning over a new leaf. Sick of being tired and sick! After many years of marriage, I finally get to do something for myself. Besides, if the Zombie apocalypse ever happens..I need to up my cardio!
