I've always been a morning person, so maybe this isn't relevant to anyone. Drinking and smoking affected my sleep, and when I gave up both I noticed that I would wake up refreshed and alert. I also don't drink anything with caffeine other than my morning coffee.

From what I have come to understand it's the saturated fats that you want to stayed away from. Eating cholesterol doesn't necessarily increase cholesterol, or that's what they're saying this week. I dont think there's anything wrong with red meats, bacon and sausage as long as you enjoy it in moderation.

Balsamic Vinaigrette is delicious! Also, Bolthouse makes some delicious yogurt based dressings. My favorite is their Cilantro Avocado dressing. Bruschetta's and Caprese's make good appetizers and salads.

I'm not sure how accurate those charts are. I'm 6'4" and 211 lbs, and it says that I am still over-weight and should be between 152 - 205. I would be all skin and bones if I weighed the 160 pounds.

I think if you want to make alfredo sauce then you need to use gourmet heavy whipping cream with with at least 40% fat. Then make a reduction sauce. However, if you want to make one lower in calories you could use skim or 1% milk and then use corn starch to thicken.

This is probably an over simplification, but my heart burn goes away as soon as I increase my daily water intake, and remove/reduce alcohol and stop eating foods that trigger it.
