I don't weigh everything all the time anymore. I have a good idea of how much something is, but I do a spot check every now and then to make sure I'm not too far off.

I've had issues with high blood sugar in the morning and was told to eat something before bed - peanut butter on a slice of bread (carb and protein). I hope you figure out what works for you.

No experience with this, but I find I need to take supplements for my skin/nails and it helps. I take the Hair, Skin & Nail Gummies with Biotin

August update HW 261 CW 252 GW 199 (first goal) 8/27 - 249 - down 3 pounds I've been exercising a little more - could do better. Hoping everyone else is doing ok. Diabetes is in check. A1C consistently around 6.4 which they now consider pre-diabetic. But fact remains, it's low because of the diet AND medicine. Would like…

So happy to see you doing so well. You are an inspiration!

Does anyone else have a hard time losing weight while taking glimperide? I do.

Back to tracking HW 261 CW 252 GW 199 (first goal)

it's been a cruel, cruel summer (I'm hearing that song in my head). Why is it so hard to stick to a plan and lose weight?
-
Just checking in - no weight loss- struggling with that - diabetes doesn't help - I have to eat when I'm not hungry so sugar doesn't drop, it's annoying. Same with exercise - I have to eat or sugar will drop - oh well, only need 16 carbs to keep from dropping, so it's not that bad - just wanted to complain. Went to a…

@MelodiousMermaid - looking good. My son is a weight lifter, and it's killing him not being able to go to the gym to workout - he's been trying new things (boxing) but it's not the same for him. Soon, soon - they'll open the gyms back up.

@Soraiya26 welcome! This is what helps me - start by planning out your food for the day. In the Food Diary log everything you PLAN to eat. Mix and move around till you get the right portions and calories for the day. Then stick to that plan. There are so many diets out there, but the simple fact is if you eat less calories…

Still hanging in there - weight hasn't changed - but I got a fitbit this past week and I am walking more. I know I need to exercise - that will help me lose weight. I need to stop making excuses. But my spirits are good. Thankful my family is healthy, even if we are stuck in the house together. Been cooking a lot more…

Hi Yasminwin - you can do this. One step at a time. Log all your food, try and get some exercise and come here for support. The communities are great and so many to choose and read and be encouraged. And be encouraging to others. Diane

Yes. I am feeling the same. My family are all losing weight and I gain! Why is that? Ugh
-
ok. I think the family is over the hype, trying to get back to as close to normal as we can while adjusting to staying at home. baking less, eating less and walking more because it's the only thing we're allowed to do. Weather is warming up (OH) so that helps. Hope everyone is doing ok.

I really need to stop stress eating - though I don't feel like I'm overeating, the scale keeps going up. It's all this stress - and not just the virus stuff - I'm not panicking - but having everyone home is just adding to my stress level. I hear my son complaining all day long how awful this is that he can't go and work…
-
Thanks for the encouragement. I know some of you are struggling also. Praying for us all. Today I plan to log all of my meals BEFORE I eat them. I also plan to go for a short walk this afternoon - temperatures here in OH will be 60 today, and sunny. Snow coming again this weekend, so will take advantage of the nice day…

Struggling - haven't really lost any weight for a while.

@mnwalkingqueen - looking good on the weight loss. Keep it up!

Did yoga two days in a row then rested. Eating was better this week. Welcome @timnsara617 1/24 - 250.2 2/17 - 253/2 221 - 250.4

Well, wasn't careful with my diet - put on a few pounds - stupid. Had a very active week, but lots of meetings and lots of food and going out to dinner with people from work. Needless to say, it's showing on the scale. Back to losing. I did a session of chair yoga today - felt good. It's not easy when you are stiff and…
-
I haven't been too serious watching my food intake, which means the scale hasn't changed and it's already February! Started some basic yoga today - as you all know I'm lazy and hate to exercise. I enjoyed it. I'll try and keep it up. Also looking at getting a FitBit - anyone have one and like it? Diane

Now that the holidays are over, we are trying to eat more veggies and fruit and less processed foods. I bought a load of veggies at Aldi's yesterday, had a delicious half sandwich (multi-grain bread with hummus and veggies for lunch). Oatmeal for breakfast with fruit. More veggies at lunch and dinner. Scale up a little…

I ended the year catching the flu. Last night I finally was able to sleep. I did enjoy the holidays and goodies but back to a little more discipline. Weight didn't change so that is good. Trying to make this the year I lose a significant amount of weight. Height: 5'7" Highest Weight: 264 Current Weight: 249.1 Goal Weight:…

@MelodioiusMermaid - happy to see you hit onederland! Congratulations.

@mnwalkingqueen Glad to see the exercise you are getting. I hope things start working out with your mom. @skinnyjeanzbound - first, what a cool sign-in name - I know you'll make it to those skinny jeans. I take a cheat day every now and then too - and it seems when I do I drop some weight - weird, huh! Guess it's just my…
