Breastfeeding calories should be handled by a lactation team. Breastfeeding does require more calories for baby and you. Include lots of water too. I would hate to see you starve yourself as well as baby!

13 lbs is great for your 1st month. Just image how it will feel at 20, 30, 40 and getting rid of oversized clothes and getting new clothes! Pay attention to how you feel too. Be proud! It's great!

Isn't there lower body things you could do? Its unfortunate that most all upper body training uses the shoulders as it primary axis. Maybe start googling weight training routines after shoulder surgery so you can be ready by the time the Dr okays your return. Yes you will lose strength and muscle bulk.....but don't focus…

Sorry...veggies are not my replacement for pasta :s I will bulk up pasta with veggies. I do use a high fiber/protein pasta. I will not use whole wheat pasta either...ick. INMHO :)

I did this with sugar free cool whip...about 1/3 of a cup with 1 tbsp of pb2 powder....took care of my sweet tooth. Some mashed banana would be good mixed in OR a 1/2 of a crushed graham cracker sprinkled over the top.

Well if you are interested in body building...you have to gain weight to accommodate muscle. Eating has to change too. Not a bad thing just a different sport to show off muscle size and cuts. Whole different mind set and strategy.
