  • You could a lose a lot in that time. However you have to do the hard work which is really stick to it and not cheat. And best advice I can give you. Is do not eat after dinner. And try not to pick between meals. Once I stopped that - the fat literally fell off me. Good luck.
  • I do this all the time. Has worked great for me.
  • I have lost 30+ lbs this year. Have only counted calories in the last two weeks out of shear curiosity. However I have counted for years prior. So I have a very good idea of what I am taking in. I do think people starting out they should and they need a food scale.
  • Have been doing for real for 2 months. Results have been amazing. I have been able to create true deficits while giving myself to fit in some not so good for you foods all without feeling hungry all the time.
  • I agree with you on the Big Mac vs Grilled Chicken. I have more than enough room in my calories for some arsenic. But that doesn’t make it a good idea. I am being a bit absurd but my point is. It might fit macros but you will do better with better food.
  • I am sorry but genetics does not play much of a role in T2D or fatty liver for that matter. The two tend to go hand in hand. Additional sugars found in refined carbs and sweets and soda are major drivers of obesity and T2D. Fructose especially is terrible for you and really should be avoided for the most part. It is very…
  • I find all of these experiences very interesting and it helps to know that sometimes there just isn’t an easy answer. I think it comes down to the fact that each person burns calories different. I also think macros matter a ton. In that some people can burn carbs and others have trouble. Talking refinded carbs there. They…
  • Thanks everyone. Makes me happy that there can be a good civil discussion on here sometimes. I appreciate all the opinions. However I truly hope not to give any back. I would like to drop another 20 but not my body will allow me to get that low. Or I should say that I am not sure I am willing to do what it would take.…
  • The OP just asked a question he did not claim IF had some magical qualities. Why must people attack everything to try to prove how smart they are. For the record IF HAS done wonders for my weight loss. 10% body weight loss in 2 months. Without counting calories. Regardless. During your fast avoid the bulletproof coffee and…
  • Should ask the CICO people. If you are measuring and logging correctly then you should be losing weight. Don’t mean to be funny or anything. But something does not add up.
  • I have lost 24lbs on Keto since first of year. 10 of that came off through Feb. Since last week of Feb I combined IF and have dropped 14. It works for me is all I can say. Fat and protein fill me up and I like veggies. So far no downside. I don’t miss the carbs too much. When I travel I eat carbs out of convenience but…
  • I eat nothing. Sounds odd but with me if I eat something it just opens to door for over eating. So I eat nothing. Just some carbonated water with a little shot of lemon and vinegar for taste. I find the cravings pass in 5-10 mins. Has done wonders for my weight loss.
  • I can say without question low calorie with lower carbs has reduced my inflammation. There is absolutely no doubt for me. Others will have to figure out what works best for them obviously.
  • The CICO people cannot be moved. Keto people who stick with it and have success also cannot be moved. I have done both and been very successful on both. Both led to significant weight loss. Both improved my blood panels significantly- yes even with eating a ton of fat on keto my blood work improved a lot. Both work. I just…
  • Last year I lost 20 lbs in three months starting at a weight of 228 not counting a single calorie. Mind you I have a very good idea of the amt of calories I was eating. I counted carbs plain and simple. It worked for me. Didn’t starve myself a bit. I am sure I was at a deficit but just that I did not feel it. The scale…
