Thanks. I have been reading consistently rave reviews for Garmin.

Thanks! I don’t think any of these apply, but...maybe sodium? I eat mainly fresh, whole foods but I haven’t really measured sodium intake before.

Weighing every Monday. Might try every day and see if there is a trend in my cycle, etc.

Been at it since March and have only lost .4kg as of today. Been measuring everything for the last month very strictly. Exercise regularly (jogging and P90X/3 strength and yoga). Walk a lot (almost always hit 10k step count). Average 60g carbs a day. Average 1400 cals/day, adjusting for exercise but leaving a 100-200 cal…

Thanks all! I really appreciate the community here!

Happy to be friends! Please add me (I am still figuring out how...).

So many similarities for me too! (Although I am currently heavier
-
Totally! Didn't feel like you were calling me out at all

I have just started Keto after being moderately low carb for a few months. I have felt transformed by low carb, but I haven't managed to lose a pound... I would really like to meet some friends to share this change.

Berries and the occasional apple and pear is as dessert, very rarely. Sugars of all kinds spike crazy food cravings for me, so these are eaten very rarely.
-
Yeah, just did that too. All normal...I think reaching out on here has been the kick I need to be really, really strict for a while and see what I can accomplish! Rrrrawwwr!

I definitely wanted to SCREAM MY HEAD OFF when my doctor dismissed me with his middle age fear mongering!

I am completely sugar free, i.e. no refined, honey, agave, or other 'natural' sugar replacements; no breads or pasta; no starchy veggies; only berries and the occasional apple and pear for fruit. I think portion control is truly looking like the culprit.

Thanks, all. I appreciate the debate. I think the clear thing is the scale v. measuring cups/spoons for tracking, as well as eating to my 'earned' calories. Exercise cals are off. The digital scale is here. Let's see what this next couple of weeks bring... It's worth pointing out that I am sugar- and grain-free. And, eek,…

Haven't lost a pound since May...
-
Come on, scale(s)! I am after you now!
-
Thanks everyone! Really helpful already. Here's to making some minor but major tweaks I hope! :)
-
That's really helpful about the 'double dipping'. That's been my sense, but I hadn't been able to find any consistent views on calorie counts in this way.
-
Yeah, I never thought of how significant the difference between cups/spoons measurement and a scale could be. I think a scale may unlock a lot! Thanks.
-
Thanks. These BMI calculators are always relatively inaccurate for me. I think I need to have it done properly with body fat/lean mass, as I am very muscular and don't actually have much to 'pinch'.
-
I measure with cups and measuring spoons already. But sounds like a digital scale for greater accuracy is necessary. The calorie range is due to the fluctuation in my 'earned' exercise calories for each day, hence this "I think". I track everything, and have done for months.
-
It's been since May...completely stalled. I eat between 1300-1800/day, I think.
-
Yeah, that is a really good point...I think I have gotten complacent in my exact measurement. Is there a better/worse digital scale you'd recommend/avoid?
-
Hi there! I am a little over right now, but definitely in the same range. Really needing some support and motivation. Two kids. 5'5" and 176. Scale not shifting...
