I'd love to hear about fb groups too.

I watch British obesity reality tv shows on YouTube! One is called Fat Families and another is Supersize vs Superskinny. YouTube will then recommend others. They're motivating and always have a happy ending!
-
I use an app called Habit Hub to track new behaviours until they become habits. And I don't try and improve everything at once!

What about adding supplements? Multivitamin and a multimineral.

You're in the right place! Put your weight, height etc into MFP and see what your calorie allowance is. Then It's a case of eating things you like that fit in that allowance. The forums are great for tips and inspiration. The best advice I've seen here is that dieting is just about finding a personalised eating plan. All…

Wow - great job!

My regular treat is an egg mcmuffin and a latte from McD! I just count the calories.

Why not eat at maintenance for a while so you have extra calories to enjoy? Maybe you just need a short break from strict control. You could also skip a meal a day to give yourself even more leeway. Or fast 1 day a week. Then there's room for more cake for now.

You look wonderful!!!

As well as everything else that comes with being overweight, it's also a weapon used by others to shame. The shame is theirs not yours. I try hard to remember that. Keep going. *Kitten 'em.*

You look wonderful and that's a lovely outfit!!!

Fat happens!

This is my problem too - I love snacking in front of tv at night. Have only been on MFP for about 3 weeks (4kg lost) so I'm still trying to find ways to control it. Some things that help: keeping a quarter of calories for snacks, eating low carb high fat diet cuts my carb cravings, having protein and fat for breakfast,…

At the restaurant, you could eat a starter and a small soup. Or always order fish without the carb and ask for extra veg. Have water only. Then you can eat while he eats and your calorie count won't be extreme. Even better you might be able to find restaurants that list their meals' calories.

If I visit a relative and they have that stuff out I pack it out of sight into their kitchen cupboards and try avoid the kitchen! Also, drink 500ml water about 20 minutes before every meal - it'll help stop you overeating. I also take a tiny first portion so I can accept a second portion and It'S still not a lot of food…

Ditto. Weight loss depends on you eating fewer calories than the amount you use up. So you can eat bread as long as it is part of your calorie allowance. I eat low calorie bread just because it's half the calories of regular bread. I also make open sandwiches so I use less bread. This is so I have calories left for a…

You can have treats and still lose weight. I eat about a quarter of my calories as snacks - it stops me binging. I have crackers, jam, blue cheese, mini bags of jellybeans, salted sunflower seeds, crisps, single frozen choc chip cookies, smoked nuts, apricots, flavored rice cakes. Sometimes i go for a walk so i have the…

I used to have a job like this. I put on a lot of weight! Looking back I could have done better! A colleague would always go to a supermarket after checking into our hotel. She would buy bottled water and fruit. She also swam in hotel pool every night. My uncle is in sales and had to eat out with clients all the time so he…

Get mapmywalk app for your phone. You can go out in your breaks for a quick walk and see how it all adds up. It made me realise the value in just walking around the block.

Sit on one of those big exercise balls. Your core has to engage to keep you stable. Because it's below desk height, most people won't even notice it. And I bought chair yoga dvds- you can set a timer on your computer and do a little chair yoga every 30 minutes! Another option is to stand while you work for part of the day…

It'S a panniculus or stomach apron. You can look it up on the internet under both terms. Sympathy - it's notoriously hard to get rid of.

Don't try to do everything at once. So start small and easy. Healthy food can be food you love, it can be frozen food from supermarkets or it could be takeout! Your fish and salad meal was probably not appetizing or easy. So look at what you currently eat and love, and check the calories and think about how you could fit…

You can download a free audio couch-to-5k program from the NHS. It'S the British medical system but anybody can get the program. It will tell you when to walk and when to run until you build up to 5k! http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Couch-to-5K-running-plan.aspx

Take your medicine, please. This is the easiest endocrine disorder to treat - once your dose is sorted out you just need a blood test every 6 months. I have it, take my meds and am losing weight on a low cal high fat diet. It'S a familial condition so I'd expect other women in your family to have it. Also more common in…

I'm so going to try this!!! Sounds delicious!

From Superstore: Good Thins spinach and garlic crackers. It'S 80 cal for 15 crackers, 2.5 fat, 14g carb, 1g protein. I have it with 2 T PC fig cabernet wine jelly and 30g Castello Danish Blue Cheese, also from Superstore. Yum!

Quarter cup of sunflower seeds (Spitz) in front of tv. They take a while to eat because of shell and they're salty. Helps me not eat crisps which I adore!
-
Hi - what really helped me is freezing low-cal slow-cooker chicken meals that serve 6 people. I then cook it from frozen and my husband and I eat it over 3 evenings with easy sides. I also freeze cherry tomato sauce for fish that I use for 2 other evenings. And I figured out the calories for our favorite sushi takeout and…

I snack on a portion of salted sunflower seeds (Spitz brand) in front of tv. It takes effort to get the kernels out of the seeds so it lasts a long time!

Are you sure this isn't related to insulin resistance and how you process carbs?
