Depending on the building - Use a bathroom farthest from you. Use a water fountain farthest from you to fill your water bottle.

I work in a multi-story building on the 4th floor. When I want to move more, I use the bathroom and the water fountain in the basement and take the stairs. I also walk on my morning, lunch and afternoon break.

I’m on the 3rd floor at my office & I take the stairs 90% of the time now. I also have a standing desk I use a couple times a day and have started taking a short walk around my floor every hour or so. I park in the far lot unless the weather is crappy — little things that are adding up

There do exist and do work, under-desk cycles. I've seen people mention they can be found at Aldi occasionally, and of course you can find many on amazon.

Sit on one of those big exercise balls. Your core has to engage to keep you stable. Because it's below desk height, most people won't even notice it. And I bought chair yoga dvds- you can set a timer on your computer and do a little chair yoga every 30 minutes! Another option is to stand while you work for part of the day - you can buy a cardboard contraption that elevates your computer for under 30 dollars on Amazon. It'S easy to put away when not in use.

Arrive at work a bit early and walk for 15 minutes before you start your day. Take a 15 minute walk during your lunch break.

Get mapmywalk app for your phone. You can go out in your breaks for a quick walk and see how it all adds up. It made me realise the value in just walking around the block.

Walk at lunchtime and if you can fit it in, in the morning as well

I work at desk job in a small building. One floor, so no stairs. I can only tell you things that have worked for me:

    - Getting up from my desk as much as possible (fitbit has helped a lot with this)
    - Instead of emailing or paging a coworker to come to my desk, I go to them
    - Parking further from the door
    - Walking around the perimeter of the parking lot (sometimes multiple times if it's nice)
    - Logging my calories for breakfast and lunch before I actually eat them so I see whats left for dinner
    - I only live 1 mile from my work, so I go home but I portion out my lunch and only eat that (most of the time lol)
    - Some days I will run/walk on my lunch break with my two little dogs
    - Say no to office food
    - Don't bring food to the office you don't intend to eat that day (If it's there, I will eat it)
