  • A can of mustard greens and marinara w mushrooms and black olives
  • Can’t you order it online? It’s a little tangy, if that helps. So maybe some finely ground dried lemon peel would substitute. It doesn’t really taste much like dried milk.
  • That blend looks really tasty. Great find. As long as you are getting protein and fruits/veggies w other meals, and they aren’t to high calorie for you, I wouldn’t worry.
  • I’d be most worried about the sodium, if they are the seasoned kind.
  • Aren’t those little shelf stable cups non dairy? Or your could try a spoonful of coconut milk based ice cream, or some actual coconut cream mixed w some sugar or chocolate syrup.
  • You can also freeze the caramelized onions, before adding the broth, in ice cube trays. Then just use a couple, and some canned broth for soup. The broth will all be on sale in a week or so :)
  • I was in your shoes for awhile. I would buy a whole frozen turkey once every two weeks, I’d cut it apart and cook it in my two big crock pots, pull the meat off and freeze in bags. You can also boil the bones w some veggie scraps for broth. That’s all sort of a pain :/ but it’s the cheapest thing I found for meat. I don’t…
  • If you really aren’t picky, then canned, low sodium greens (like mustard and turnip) are great for convenient low cal eating. I use frozen spinach bc it’s Low sodium, compared to canned. I like to top greens with some marinara, some jarred Indian sauce, or stew (canned will work). There are some very good frozen grain…
  • Silken tofu, or chia pudding made with some low sugar milk or plant alternative. I don’t understand your diet concerns, but those are both pretty creamy.
  • I know it doesn’t directly make sense, but I crave sugar most when I’m not getting enough sleep. I’ll have a little coffee, if it’s still kinda early in the day, or take a mild sleeping aid and some tea in the evening.
  • I like those toddler squeeze things, as snacks. Most only have about 100 calories, so I’m sure you’ll need other stuff too. I’m really hooked on the pumpkin ancient grains one. Maybe try some of those, and mimic the ones that are good, in bigger quantity. Pickle pops would be good for cravings. Miso soup is good, and you…
  • It looks like you have a much different build than me. As a soldier, I ate like that, and stayed around 101. I had way more muscle than now tho. Maybe my job doesn’t use that many calories. I’m an exotic dancer. It’s nothing like when I was in the military. Prolly just a couple hundred extra when I work. I hope you are…
  • 1000-1200 doesn’t include exercise. I’d say it’s my mean tho. I don’t burn much when I exercise bc my weight is already so low. Maybe 300 for an hour at the gym. I’d say I eat back ab 2/3 of that currently, but 103 is still a little heavy for me. At 19/20 BMI, I’m ab 98 lbs. I’m actually a little under 4’11”. my job is…
  • I don’t think seats should be bigger bc that would raise the cost for everyone, including children, but they should be more modular, based on weight. It’s not perfect, but it’s not just fat people who take more space. Big guys w broad shoulders also invade into my seat. I have mixed issues about bigger people spilling into…
  • I’d call. I’ve been in an abusive relationship before. I couldn’t call bc he’d know, and he’d just see it as me being crazy and exaggerating, which would have made things worse for me. If someone else does it, then the abuser (or both of them) might see that they really are getting out of hand.
  • Many nice grocery stores have great salad bars, and places to sit and eat. Even the ones that don’t have washed and ready to eat fruit and vegetables, at a lower cost than the gas stations. I like ruby Tuesday bc of the salad bar, and on the border bc they have a good selection of fairly low calories options.
  • No, you sprinkle them w a little salt, cover them, and cook on lowish heat to break them down so they are tender. There will be a liquid and it will start to carmelize to the pan (not burn). You add water, or wine, to deglaze the pan.
  • If you use lemon, chili powder, and cumin, try serving w some chunks of avocado and fried corn tortilla strips (if you have the calories to spare).
  • Thank you for not wooing me. People don’t get how much smaller we are and how little calories we get. :(
  • I just put my stats into a calorie caluculator. At 103, it says I need 1275 to maintain if I’m sedentary (which I am if I don’t work or exercise. I consider my work to be exercise.) I could see that being possible. But then it’s normal for me to be 97 lbs also. I’m really small. Like a 12 year old. I was only 101, when I…
  • I don’t think it’s appropriate to laugh at me for it. I do have a physically demanding job, but I normally eat 1000- 1200. My dr told me that years ago when I was more sedentary, and was worried bc I’d been tracking calories and ppl here gave me so much flack about it. I consider my job to be exercise above my maintenance.…
  • I can’t imagine why anyone would mock and laugh at me for my size and maintenance calories. I’m 36 and I’ve been this size since 18, which little fluctuation. I’m not even skinny. I’m just really short and small.
  • red pepper flakes, tobasco, lemon, wine, bbq sauce. Cumin, and chili powder.
  • I’m 4’11” ab 103 lbs. I’m probably at a good maintenance weight for my size, but I need to stay fit for work, so I’m a perfectionist about it. My maintenance is around 1000-1200, and my job is very physically demanding. My dr says that 1000 is a reasonable maintenance for me bc I’m so small.
  • Honestly, I’ll just keep eating. I want stuff like pizza and quesadillas, but I’ll eat masses of veggies until it passes. The funny thing is, the next week, I’ll hardly have an appetite at all. I suggest having some go to volume recipes for these times. It’s a good reason to track your periods too since it helps to know…
  • If I go out to eat and have a mystery food, I’ll usually just log random calories to max out my day, or even add a couple hundred calories. If you are going to go back and get that all of the time, you might want to call and ask bc it could have a lot of butter, or oil, and be deceptively high calorie.
