Was talking to someone a few days ago about his elk hunting experience. He got one and ended up with 750 lbs of meat that lasted him for several years. On top of that he raved about the taste. Sounds like a lot of work Bob, and if nothing else a very nice workout. Good luck!

Sammy for the win! I love it. Congrats on your progress. My advice is don't celebrate or splurge too much. Best to stay consistent and persistent.

So on a business trip and it comes time for dinner, the salesman with me knows I'm particular about what and when I eat, so he asks if I will be needing to have dinner. You better believe it i say, can we go to the closest steakhouse? So I order their biggest sirloin with mashed potatoes, ceasar salad, and a side order of…

@purplemorgan , to hell with what others think, set your own course. There is no reason why people must eat 3 or more times per day. To lose weight it's very advantageous to eat less often such as OMAD. Good luck.

Non scale victory today. Sitting and fitting quite comfortably in a rather small airplane seat. My old self dreaded flying because it was so uncomfortable, seat belt extension required, belly too big to lower table, couldnt use arm rests, etc, etc. And the bathroom? Forget about it.

I don't know about Paul's thorn in the flesh, but I really do look at it like a battle scar, and in a way it's a constant reminder of how far I've come. I know it will never truly and completely go away, but I'd not complain too much if this "battle scar" was much reduced in size. lol

Thanks for the advice Joe. I too am not looking for anything "big" to happen, in terms of offers etc. I might be interested simply to the extent of telling my story, what I did, what worked for me. But to advise others or promote this or that, it's really not my thing. So while I would tell my story to the right audience…

I see it now, as of the last time I looked it wasn't there. Even if they are less frequent, which is entirely understandable, I hope you still do videos from time to time.

Everything OK @arguablysamson? Haven't seen any updates or videos in awhile. Just checking.

I didn't used to have much in the way of discipline, but I'm on a mission now. Confidence is high and I think my goals are reasonable and achievable. We'll get there.

I'm 58. I want to stay as lean as possible in order to try to help get rid of some remaining belly fat that is sloshing around in my baggy skin in the mid section. I too am not looking to bulk up per se, just to strengthen my core and upper body. A lean but well toned 165 to 170 would please me greatly.

Thx, I did enjoy my visits to Romania very much.

OMAD for the win! Ha, I like your enthusiasm. Hey there will be many days that the scale won't budge, and sometimes go up a little. Stay in for the long haul though, it's a marathon not a sprint. You're doing great!

Ce faci Monica, I just wanted to mention that my ex wife was from Bucharest. I've been there 3 times.

Thx Britt. For my official monthly weight what I'm listing is the average weight of the final 7 days of the month. So it's current but with the trailing average it makes it a little smoother. Honestly though except for one or two days my weight for the month was almost always in a narrow range of 175 to 177. Last few days…

Month Weight August....184.2 Sept........178.8 Oct.........176.7 Nov........176 Maintained well this month with my carnivore diet, OMAD, and no extended fasting. In the later part of December I'm going to begin to push for more weight loss. In a couple months I'd like to be down 10 pounds and begin permanent maintenance in…

Heh, no I don't think Frosty's count as real food. In my former life I'd get a Frosty and a large fries and dunk the fries in the Frosty! It was good but I don't miss that kind of stuff.

Similar thing happened to me over the holiday weekend, after a jumbo meal with family I weighed in at 180 the next morning. Without doing anything other than returning to normal eating it was back down to 175 this morning.

Good work Tracey, you're back on course.

Congrats Sammy. Those are all solid points that you have learned. Stick to them and you'll reach your goal in time.
-
Susan it sounds like you are well suited for this way of eating as you are finding it easy to adapt with positive results already. This was the way it went for me when I started, it just seemed almost too easy. The challenge is to be consistent over the long haul and conquer any self doubts that might crop up. Great start!

Welcome Dee and Susan.

Super Sarah, it's just a matter of time.

I have a splash of ACV in about a half cup of veg juice with my meal. I can't really say if it's been a success or not, but just a habit that I maintain. I know that some can not shake the cravings for carby foods, for me I think it was instrumental in getting to my goal that I was able to break my desire for them. Just so…

Thanks Britt, Tracey, Joe, Sarah, Bob! I find myself telling my story more and more. Here, twitter, etc. I've been contacted to be interviewed for a health type YouTube channel. Some doctors asked if they can use my story in a book that is coming out soon. Just now in Starbucks for lunch I pass by a table and I hear them…

Good for you, keep up the momentum. It's often hard to figure, sometimes you get the opposite result of what you are expecting.

I just wanted to echo these sentiments as I have experienced the same thing, and further believe that one of the keys of being successful at this is to reach this point of control. When I realized that I was no longer vulnerable to food in this way it was enormously empowering, and I do think that the clean fasting…

My niece found a pair of my old big man pants in my closet and wanted to take a picture. Hard to believe that was me.

Thanks everyone. Was smiling there for couple reasons, it was just after the start so was still feeling good and I was just passing my small cheering section who were screaming support. Other photos from the finish didn't turn out so well due to shadows.
