Great job! You’re amazing!

That sounds good! One of my challenges since I moved is no longer having access to some of those healthier, lower calorie higher protein foods like alternate kind of pasta or breads. I’m a little jealous!!
-
Definitely a victory! 💪🏆

That’s great! I’m with you on focusing on activity and forgetting the scale for a little bit. I just need to focus on my routines that help me eat healthy, get some movement in my life, and feel happy. When I can get that in place for a few weeks in a row, then I’ll worry about what the scale has to say.

Great work! I am in the middle of moving from a sublet to a new place and don’t have a scale, so nothing to report here, but all this transition has not helped me stick to my regular routines. I’m looking forward to truly settling down and being able to re-establish my healthy routines!!

Nice! I love discovering a new healthy god to enjoy!!

So for me the goal is 189

I’m going to stick with just trying to lose 1lb again this round. It’s a really busy, hectic time so I think that’s a more reasonable goal for me right now. Then in October, I’ll get a little more balance in life and increase my goals a bit.
-
Did lose 1 pound - met the goal! Hoping I’m getting back on track!
-
Definitely close enough! Great job!!
-
That’s great news! I’m sure it will feel good to get into some physical activities again - take it slow!

Finally got a bicycle and got it working! (Mostly - the gears don’t work, but the brakes do and the pedals aren’t falling off anymore 😂).

I forgot to write my goal. I’m gonna try to set myself up for success and take some pressure off. I haven’t lost at all in August so I’m gonna try to lose 1 lb by September 15th. That would 191.
-
That is REALLY sweet of you to say! It brightened my day!

I stayed right at 192 - no movement, but honestly I am not upset about it. I’m glad I maintained and I am trying to give myself some grace. I’ve lost 64 pounds so far. I’ve gone from obese to overweight, and I feel active and good. Of course I am not giving up, but I’m not counting this as a failure either. I did manage to…

Congrats!! 🎉🎊🎈🤩

That’s a good one! I used to use an elliptical several years ago when I had a gym membership and I really liked it - I would elliptical through an episode of “The Office” in the morning - it was a nice ritual!

Ahh - plateaus are frustrating!!! Don’t give up, because it will pass (and maybe when you least expect it!). One thing that has sometimes worked for me to break a plateau is to make a shift in my eating and exercise routine for a couple days - a little change or jolt to shake things up. For me, it’s been to maybe add some…

I am starting at 192 and my goal is to get to 190 by the end of the month. I also have a few other goals that I am going to put here to help me be accountable for them: 1. Get a bicycle! A co-worker helped me find a couple good possible bikes, I just need to commit to taking a little time away On a workday to get to the…

I had a rough two weeks, but in the end I managed to maintain. So no kiss, but at least no gain. I think I underestimated the stress of moving and transition. I also need to continue to work of my meal planning and food choices. Because I’ve moved to a more rural area in Zambia, I don’t have access to a lot of the foods I…

Nice job!!!

Glad you’re back and healing. I know you must be anxious to get more active again! I am impressed you were able to maintain with all the stress of surgery - nice job!!

Checking back in - it’s Friday morning and I feel good about this week and like I am getting back to where my routines feel good and not like a punishment! I have done at least a 30 minute home workout (mostly high intensity low impact interval stuff) every morning and gotten out for some 1.5 hour early evening walks a few…

Since I’ve been having a harder time sticking to my goals and routines I’m going to keep posting here to hold myself accountable. Yesterday I was able to get in an hour workout before work (indoors with a video - not my favorite, but kind of what I’m stuck with right now) and I was able to stick to my calorie goal. This…

My co-worker and I went got out Saturday and Sunday for about an hour and half each time. The weather was gorgeous! Was able to look at a few bikes yesterday and got a lead on a used one for sale, so things are moving along a little bit on that front. B

Welcome to the group! It sounds Iike you’ve had successful re-start, which is really impressive. Feel free to add to any of the discussions, especially setting a mini goal for August 1-15th - it definitely helps me with accountability to set short term goals, share them here and report back on progress. Glad you’re here!
-
Alright - I am starting off August at 191.5 lbs and my goal is to get to 189 lbs by the 15th. Some other mini goals for these two weeks are to get a new bicycle (I had to leave my old one behind when I relocated) and to go on 2-3 omg walks per week ( and I made a new friend who will walk with me!).
