Hello! I help run a community here in MFP for women who have significant weight to loose. It works by setting short term goals, sharing successes (or failures), and just having a space to feel supported. Feel free to join https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/136598-2020-one-derland

Ok - it was not an easy two weeks for me. I started at 190 and am now at 191.5. Obviously I’m not too excited with these results, but I am getting myself back on track and not giving up. (Sometimes a little setback can make me want to give up altogether and it turns into a big setback, but I’m not giving in!)

I’ve been having a hard week, so I decided to really think about and recognize my non-scale victories and here’s what I came up with: 1. I can definitely see and feel that I am more muscular that I was even a few months ago - especially in my legs. 2. While I still cannot do anything resembling a proper push-up, I have…

I’m struggling a little bit this week. With moving, quarantine, and some stress from trying to acclimate to a new place during COVID, it’s been hard to get myself settled and establish routines. It’s not been terrible, but my routines around eating and exercise are all out of whack. For accountability, I am posting my…

That sounds amazing!

Alright - I am starting off at 190 and going to aim for 187 at the end of the month.
-
What a milestone! congratulations!!!!!!

It’s the 15th and I just finished quarantine and moved to a new place and I have not been able to weigh myself yet. I’ve done pretty well with my food choices, though my exercise routines have been shot to hell with traveling and moving, so who knows?! Hopefully this weekend I’ll get a title more unpacked and settled in…

That’s awesome! Was it from Adriene? I did try a few of her shorter videos and I saw she had a 30 day series. Good for you!
-
Welcome, Shelby! Glad to have you and hope we can help you stay motivated!!

It’s a hard thing to do. I have realized in the past decade or so that I have binge eating issues and have been a binge eater since I was a young child. I think it likely started out as my child way of dealing with family stress and abuse issues but I never really recognized it. Once I recognized and named the binge eating…

I am starting at 196 and my goal it lose 3 pounds and be at 193. I think as long as I can keep up the home workouts during quarantine the I’ll get there.

I started doing some circuit training videos (Jillian Michaels 90 day program) and I was worried it would be too hard, but so far the 1st week videos have been great - elevates my heart rate and makes me sweat, but does not make me feel like I’m gonna die. I continue to feel ways that I am stronger and healthier.

Ok - the day is here and despite all the potential obstacles of travel and quarantine, I did get to 196. I still think it might just be dehydration. But I’ll take it!

That’s great! I think it’s fine to recognize times when maintaining is a realistic goal and that this is a marathon not a sprint. I know for me, if I can’t take a reasonable break every now and then and give myself some grace To splurge on a meal or take a day off from exercise, I’ll eventually give up all together. I’m…

Yes, welcome!! We do a lot of goals by two week/half a month increments. For me it’s really helpful to set a short term goal, share with some other people, and work towards it. This process definitely helps me feel less overwhelmed and more successful - I hope it helps you, too. Glad you’re here!

Hello! I hope everyone is doing well and seeing some progress towards goals. I haven’t had access to a scale for a little bit, which is kind of weird and interesting. But I have been making good food choices and getting some exercise (though not as much as usual), so I feel pretty good about how things are going. Hope…

So I’ve been struggling with goal setting for these two weeks - I’ll be relocating to Southern Africa (where I work) and this is going to involve some extended travel time beginning next week followed by a 14 day quarantine that won’t wrap up until July 10th. During all of this I am going to have much less control over my…

Alright, well it’s June 15th and my goal was 196 but my scale says 197.5, so a bit off from what I hoped for. I’m a little disappointed, but I’ve been making good food choices and exercising so that other pound and half is going to have to come off at some point, right?! I also have my period right now, which always causes…

Dealing with injury has got be frustrating! It’s great that between that and pandemic you haven’t gained a lot in the past few months. I did find a few articles about weight loss and injuries online - I’m sure you’ve looked at all of them, but I’ll share a link anyway 😉.…

So far this week, my favorite has been a breakfast sandwich - a veggie-filled omelette with veggie sausage and salad greens in a super thin pita. I like mine with some hot sauce!
-
You’re so close yourself and have done great these past two weeks. Keep it up - your time is coming!
-
It’s May 31st and I’m at 199!! I couldn’t believe it - got on the scale three times to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating. I have to say that I am pretty proud of myself!
-
You’re amazing!! Great work!!!
-
Favorite for this weekend has been tacos! “Ground beef” (really a meatless substitute, but still really good) cooked with onions and kale, a little guacamole, and some habenero salsa - all liked on thin corn tortillas. So good!!
-
Yay! Such a good feeling. Keep it up - you’ve got this.

It has rained absolutely every day this week - so hard to stay motivated. But I did just put on a rain poncho and go for a hike and couple times and I was rewarded with beautiful nature all to myself and some serious reset and de stress time.

Great ideas - I love the movie idea, especially!
