Weight (fat) loss is down to eating in a calorie deficit, any kind of exercise is going to make you burn more calories than you would if you sat around all day. Personally I wouldn't overcomplicate things, especially if you're just starting. I'd just do whatever you find enjoyable that gets you moving, honestly, because…

I own some of her older DVDs, I've been mostly doing stuff on youtube lately but I'll occasionally still do the DVDs for some variety. Which workouts are you doing? :)

Hi! Was up to 90+kg in my late teens, lost a bunch of weight in my early 20s, gained a portion of it back in my late 20s, and now I'm 30 and sitting around 57kg aiming for 54 and then maintenance. Diagnosed with PCOS back in 2012

You can pretty much eat anything you want - in theory one could eat nothing but, say, candy (tho that would be very unhealthy) and still lose weight. I still eat pizza, lasagna, etc - I just monitor my portion sizes

See this would depend for me, personally. Do I log my 1.5 mile walk to the shop/bakery and back? No, I count it as my normal daily activity, and I personally wouldn't count walking home with groceries as exercise... but if I go for longer walks or start walking noticeably more than usual, then I usually log it (I wouldn't…

I really like this 30 min video of hers that I did today, definitely will be doing it again :)

and then decided to pull out my Max Interval Circuit workout from month 2 of Insanity. Oof.

"pancakes" (banana, 2 eggs, oats, a bit of chocolate protein), berries, low fat skyr, 1/2 a twix bar

I notice I tend to be super hungry when I don't get enough sleep, it completely messes up my hunger levels and makes it hard not to go over my calories

this is what I have atm + 2 sets of ankle weights

I don't like restricting the foods I "can" or "can't" eat, though I do tend to aim for whatever my calorie goal is at the time. I'd *maybe* call a special occasion type of meal at a pizza place/restaurant kinda a cheat since I don't usually log that day (find it impossible to estimate properly), but I go out for food so…

This whole corona thing happened just as I was considering starting swimming and maybe joining a gym... stuff has partially opened since then? But I kinda don't want to risk it or spend money on it atm. I've gotten myself a 2nd pair of adjustable dumbbells, some resistance bands, a kettlebell, and a new workout mat... I…

*waves from the youtube workouts thread* I've recently started to kinda transition to her workouts (partially - still enjoy my fitness blender and other stuff, too), I don't tend to follow schedules though - ironically, it tends to make me *less* consistent/motivated to work out (brains are weird). I always feel the need…

plan was to do a 60 minute cardio workout and some yoga but I ended up sleeping off a migraine so only managed a short walk in the morning and a shorter/easier fitness blender video now before bed

not a mom myself, but maybe some of the shorter youtube videos would be viable? throw in one or two 10-15 minute ones when possible? there's a lot available on youtube where all you really need is a surface to work out on and your own bodyweight
