Sounds good to me

ALSO how much can you guys do on the leg press? I started at 115 and that sounds like a lot but is it normal?
-
I think out of the reasons you guys listed the muscle and the increased burn that comes with muscle is the most appealing. I've been thinking of joining the gym because if I go 14 times a month then it becomes free through my work. I am actually going to go ahead and sign up right now and do my first workout. Wish me luck.

I forgot to check in here. I started on 244.4 and today I am 240.8. In order to have lost 5 pounds in 10 days I have to weigh 239.4...in 2 days. I will check back.

I forgot to do my weigh ins. I started December at 251.4 and I am currently at 240.8...so I definitely did it and I still have some time to do more! I am actually really inspired by myself.

I think the major cause for me wanting to eat more in the winter time is boredom. I live in Minnesota. It's usually freezing outside and there's nothing to do. I can't even comfortably go for a walk or a bike ride. There is no more hanging out at the lake, or going to the cabin. No more outdoors. It's just me, and my…

I requested to join. I am 5'2 and my highest weight was 267. I just hit 240.8 meaning I've lost almost 27 pounds since September.

Thanks for that. I didn't gain weight but it's still reassuring. I let myself "cheat" and I didn't log but according to my mental tally of calories not one day did I go over the calories it would take to maintain my current weight but I am still really worried because it was so easy for my to become obese in the first…

Weight gain doesn't happen that suddenly, not the permanent kind. You might be noticing fluctuations in the amount of waste in your body, the amount of water, etc. If you did gain weight, it would have been for stuff you did 1-2 weeks before. Just eating a bunch for a few days takes a while to catch up to you in a lasting…

Don't "diet" at all. Change your lifestyle. Make healthier choices. Eat only when you're hungry and make careful choices about what to eat. Log everything, and try to check it throughout the day to know when you need more of a certain nutrient. If you have breakfast and lunch that are carb heavy but low on protein, try to…

I set my diary to friends only and if you want to add me, you can.
-
I am considering opening my diary but I am not a clean eater at all.

I am looking for friends. I am open to anybody but it would be really cool to meet some others who have 100+ pounds to lose.

Okay. Thanks everyone. I was just wondering. I've heard some stuff about the body treating it like real sugar and it impeding weight loss but I wasn't sure. Will be following but so far it seems like a harmless thing.

Are you using depressed as a mood or depressed as a disorder? They are totally different things. If you're depressed, then that could be the reason for your weight gain, not a side effect. Depression is from a chemical imbalance in the brain and only mental health professionals are qualified to help with that. But if you…

I have a lot of reasons. This summer I couldn't fit on a ride. It was really embarrassing and sad. None of my old clothes fit. My hips, back, knees, and feet hurt even after only 4 hours of work. My feet are on fire when I work a full shift. My body simply should not have to hold this much weight. I also stopped feeling…

She did have the anchor scar but she was still more comfortable with them, lookwise, and feeling wise after the surgery. They looked really good, imo. They were nice, round, and perky. She took good care of them as her surgeon advised and never had a complication, btw

My friend was a 36 G/H and she weighed anywhere from 145-170 pounds over the course of high school. She had a breast reduction when she was 16 to be a D cup. She never regretted it. Insurance covered everything and she was really happy with her new perkier breasts. She was really self conscious about her breasts on top of…

WOW. It's the 9th and I've already lost 6 pounds! So exciting. I wonder how many I can lose in all of december.
-
Thanks @KnitOrMiss I appreciate that. It has not been an easy road to escape all that ish. But I am finally in a much healthier place and I can try to focus on helping myself out and becoming a healthier happier person.

I am going to be painfully honest here. I am Emma. I am 25. When I was 21 I met a guy and he got me into meth. The next 3 years were nothing but pain. He abused me physically, sexually, and emotionally. Then something really traumatic happened and he almost killed me. Something clicked inside of me and I knew I had to…

I like that. I used to say that instead of hating your body for how it looks, love your body for what it does. If you have all your limbs and you can walk, then you are very fortunate for just that alone nevermind all the other wonderful things our bodies enable us to do. But still, sometimes, it gets lost on me. Thanks. I…
