  • I know you’ve ordered already but if you need one the next time, by far the best trail running shoes I’ve ever had was a saucony xodus men’s. I’ve got wide feet as well and those shoes were really good for me. Good luck with the shoes!
  • Hey Britt, glad to see you’re well. Starting afresh in your very cozy cottage sounds wonderful. We are still here to support you no matter how many threads you do :) I’ve not got a thread now myself as I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to maintain it. Eating what you’re craving is the key I think. Keep going you!
  • Wow, your weekly losses for March are great! Don’t worry about the splurge day. You were doing very low cals so a splurge weekend should not do you much harm, if at all! Onwards and downwards :)
  • Great to see you’re doing so well on a losing mode too. I’m having too many splurge days myself so far and need to rein it in!
  • Doing well Tracey! Good luck with the loss mode. Looks like you’re being really consistent and of course, the food pictures are looking just as good!
  • Yes, it’s eating a small portion of nice things! This was was in a 2 hat restaurant (like 2 Michelin star restaurant - we don’t have Michelin stars here, I don’t know why) and it was a sampling of about 9-10 plates. I took pics of 6 plates but forgot to take the others lol.
  • This is the degustation lunch we had at the riverside restaurant. It was sooo good. Hope the picture is not too big (and I changed my profile pic to the view from the restaurant!).
  • Good on you for tracking and tweaking. I think data gathering is crucial especially if it has been an unusual day or week and you never know, 2300 may still be a deficit for you if you’ve been really active! My record for eating early was 12.01am in the morning lol. I was sooo hungry but wanted to wait till the next day to…
  • @pdxhak, nice looking meals again! I will post a pic of my degustation lunch I’m having today :) It’s a special treat on a riverboat restaurant I’m having later. Oh we buy ice cream in my house ALL the time for the kids! I didn’t even know Halo Tops was here! Need to look for it and try some. Like you, I don’t really eat…
  • Nice pics you had there last week! 0.1 pounds is minuscule! How the laptop?
  • Hey Kat, thinking about you too!
  • I lie the phrase Microscope March :) Maybe for this week, record your daily intake and see how you fared with your average intake for the week? I do that too since I’m hungrier on some days and crave for certain foods (like junk!)and having a weekly average let’s me know if I’m on track or not.
  • Congrats on the new low. Another one here with a big appetite! My meals can be huge :)
  • Hi Tracey, I also came off a three day splurge day last week. I think we all need these breaks especially if we’ve been dieting for some time. I didn’t weigh myself but have given myself 2 weeks to get back to goal weight before even thinking about weighing. Keeping your upper weight limit to 157 seems a really good idea…
  • Good luck with the intuitive eating! I think that’s one of the best methods for long term weight management. Hope your stress level has reduced for you. And yes, relosing is a real pain!
  • The key is sustainability for me. If these individuals you mentioned in the OP can sustain what they’re doing over a long term period, then all the power to them. I used to do very aggressive cuts, only to end up gaining again, resulting in me always fluctuating 10 pounds around goal weight either gaining or losing. Now…
  • :) I haven't really read what he's actually ever said. Just always notice all the CAPS in his posts!
  • These things fascinate me to no end! I've been reading some articles on it as well and AI stuff used to be part of my previous job and I learnt a lot from there. So true. I've noticed a poster who disses Lyle McDonald all the time. He creates a number of accounts and some of you refer to him as "shouty guy"?? You think…
  • Me too Brenda :) If I feel like I've overdone things (food-wise, that is), I'll do a mini-fast before official weigh in. Happy piano practising Sarah :)
  • You do what you need to Britt! Continue tweaking your plan to make it work for you. Hope you feel better soon.
  • Wow Jim. What a transformation and well done to you for putting in all the hard work in getting there. Congrats!
  • Yep, there is always next week and many more to come!! As long as you are consistent, you'd be all good.
  • Ah okay, I've never experienced food coma. In fact, it's the complete opposite. I tend to get really restless after my large meals and start getting up a lot whenever I can (I have a desk job). Good luck with the plan! :)
  • All the yumminess!! Love the homemade food pics @pdxhak and I still need to try Halo Tops... I’ll have to post some of my meals here too :)
  • Oh haha, I just posted in the exercise thread before moving on to this one and read all your posts on meal timing!! 11am is still my best time :) Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow Tracey. Stay strong for today!
  • Do you need to eat in the evening? I have my meal at around 11 and sometimes earlier. I love the feeling of fullness that follows me right up to evening. I usually drink coffee with a small amount of milk in the evening and that gets me over till the next day. If I’m ever really hungry to the point of feeling like I want…
  • I didn’t read the entire thread but this caught my eye. I didn’t think any bots were turing complete and skimming through the answers, it sounded quite on point and gave seemingly intelligent answers. More than that, no one knew whether it was or wasn’t a human (I wasn’t able to read all its posts. I think some were…
  • Congrats on the win Sarah and boy, it has been hot, hasn't it??!! Looks like you are trending down and yep, I'm sure you'll continue with your monthly weight loss streak!! :)
  • Congrats on the maintenance and good blood work numbers. I'm with Brenda. Don't worry too much about it. You've got the discipline to get back on schedule so go for it!
