    Thank you, @mtaratoot !
I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out since we have our Grandson every morning. He's 2 years old and a pistol!!

    I just found this group! Looking for accountability! I'm 57 , 5'2" , mom of 6, Grandma to 6. I'm at Heaviest ever! 😭

Life has been crazy since 2017 but 2023-2024 was particularly rough with moving both our home and dog training business. In 2017 I was in my best shape since giving birth to my baby! He's 23 now lol. I reached 135lbs then and really felt great! Now I'm 177.7! Lost 1pound since 1/1/25. I've use mfp for about 10yrs.

I'm tracking my food but also implementing intermittent fasting 8/16 and participating in no alcohol January.

I'm 73 with a couple of health issues. I've been a member of MFP for several years. I have posted some, but mostly lurk in the background. I've missed a couple of months of this challenge and it shows on the scale! Rough total of what I have lost since joining MFP is about 50 lbs. Still 30+ to go.

Pleased with that :) Have been trying really hard this week and managed to stay in 400-600 calorie deficit each day. Though I know it's going to start getting harder as I have so much to lose, so it always starts coming off quickly and then plateaus!

Heaviest weight: 175.4 in early 2013.
Original MFP starting weight (January 2018): 168.2
    December 31, 2024 Weight: 158.0 (10-day average 157.2)
December 28 (Starting Weight for this challenge): 158.6 (10-day average 157.3)
January goal: Get back to lower end of maintenance weight range (153 pounds)
Ultimate goal: Stay in maintenance range between (absolutely 140 - 153 and ideally 142-148)

I report scale weight and (ten day average weight), and I post on Saturdays.

    December 28: 158.6 (10-day average 157.3)
    January 4: 157.0 (10-day average 157.3)
    January 11: 154.8 (10-day average 157.0)

Total loss for January: My first success of 2025 is the first full week of 2025. Here's to holding steady! I am at least back within my ABSOLUTE maintenance range again. I'll get back to my IDEAL range at some point. Slow and steady is best, and I'm still STICKING TO IT. I'm down 0.2 pounds for the year because this monthly challenge started near the end of January - I was already going down. Woo hoo!

My name is Donna. I am 64 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018.

Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)

    Start Weight (from Dec 31st ): 192.6

Goal Weight: 188.6 (4 pound loss)

End of Challenge Final Weight: xxxxx

    Weight lost/gained this month: xxxxx

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

    01/01-193.4-(Trend Weight: 192.9)-

01/05-193.8-(Trend Weight: 192.9)- I was shocked at the scale this morning! Admittedly I did not log my foods yesterday and was likely over on carbs and calories but I didn’t think the day went too bad! Did something catch up with me? I got as low at 192.0 during this past week.! I dunno, but you can be sure I will be logging everything and staying on point today! I don’t feel like chasing my tail for any longer than I have to.

01/12-191.4-(Trend Weight: 192.5)- I’m making a bit of progress but I’m still lacking in the exercise department. I need to get moving!

    01/17-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
    01/24-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
    01/31-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

I'm not super happy with this week's loss, I maintained a 2683kJ/641cal daily average deficit since last weigh in. I will say though, I've had a very carby week compared to last.
I may start doing a daily weigh/week avg Weight in addition to weekly weight.
