  • I weigh on Mondays. Scale did not budge an ounce this week. A bit disappointing, but not surprising considering the nearly 10 pound (mostly water) drop the first two weeks. The best thing is that I feel great and I am eating in a very healthy, sustainable way. Now ... I just need to trust the process and just keep going.…
  • Great day yesterday. Everything on target. Two nice walks with dog (a bit nippy). Dinner out at a Thai restaurant I had not gone to before ... excellent! Topped the night off with a concert by Purdue's award-winning "Wind Ensemble " (a full concert band(. Purdue also has an award-winning Philharmonic. Fantastic musicians…

  • Apr. 20 A great day. Last night's dinner was very enjoyable. Not sure if it was the "permission" I gave myself in advance, or what, but I enjoyed every bite and sip but did not go beyond reasonable portions. Felt wonderful to enjoy dinner and not stress about anything! @jonni82014 "However..This type of thinking is so hard…

  • All good yesterday, although yesterday was an interesting experiment in 'non-dieting'. I had a luncheon meeting with a buffet. Pretty much all food that I would not normally choose if I were on 'a diet'. Ate everything in reasonable portions (except for the rolls because I don't like cheap white bread and the dessert…

  • So far I am three weeks in to giving up diet coke. Not necessarily committed to giving it up forever, but definitely would like it to be an occasional treat, not something I drink several tomes a day. All I have done is to NOT buy it for home plus I always keep a bottle of water close by. Good luck! Our bodies certainly…
  • First of all ... congrats on taking a really excellent step toward a healthier you! You have done a great job! Keep on doing your best, one day at a time. One day off plan is not a failure, it is just one day out of the rest of your life. The real issue is what will you do for the next day. I am not normally one who, out…

  • Tuesday ... yesterday went well. Sleep, walk and good all good. As planned, I did not log food until end of the day. Was on target food wise. Fortunately (or sadly) I have spent so much of my life focusing on calories that I am a walking calorie counter. Tried another new recipe salmon yesterday (had to use the other half…

  • Day 11 - Sleep, food AND steps all good. With rain all day long, I did not think I would get steps in, but it finally stopped around 6:30. The dog and I were both happy to get out of the house. Only positive thing about an all-day rain was that I got a ton of things done that I have been procrastinating on for months. Have…

  • Day 10 - Interesting day yesterday. Food - on target. Tried a new recipe, which I HATED! Unfortunately, it was a crockpot dish with many servings (had planned to stock freezer for emergency meals). Also, had ingredients which meant I couldn't even give it to the dog. Unfortunately, the rest went down the garbage disposal.…
