  • As someone who is continuing the battle against eating out of boredom and stress eating I find exercise helps out a lot. Also, if I'm unable to exercise, chewing gum helps me as well. Also, if you get the urge to eat, drink a full cup of water. It'll gill your belly without the calories.
  • This is absolutely amazing! You're so inspiring. You look younger and way happier too. Thank you so much for sharing and good luck on the last leg of your weight-loss journey!
  • Hi! Besides running, I do also enjoy Yoga. I haven't done very much of it but I do enjoy doing it from time to time, especially when it's cold out and I just don't want to leave the house. There's a youtube channel called 'Yoga with Adrienne' that I really like. She's got a lot of good videos on there including beginner…
  • There were a couple of things that gave me the strength to learn self-control. The biggest thing was having a good support system. Honestly, if my dad hadn't invited me to do my first 5K with him and several more after that then I don't think I would have been able to do it. It gave us something we can do together and it…
  • I'm not on any specific diet. I'm not really into the diets like weight watchers or anything similar. I just kind of dictate my own diet. I've looked at the kind of nutrients and vitamins that my body needs to function and just stick with that and steer clear of junk foods. As for exercise, I do a lot of cardio and…
  • It is! I haven't felt this great before. Now that I'm finally taking care of my body it's been wonderful. One of the greatest achievements was when I did a 5K and 1-miler at an amusement park that came with admission for a day and I was able to fit on any of the rides I wanted. It felt very empowering, especially since the…
  • It's not a problem! Glad I was able to answer!
  • I try to add a lot of variety to my meals rather than having a go to every day. I will say I usually start thinking about my breakfast and lunch the day prior (so I can make up my lunch the night before work). One thing that I always have in my day to day meals is an assortment of vegetables. One thing I enjoy that's…
  • I did my best to stick with the MFP goals. Currently I'm doing 1200 calories a day. I try to keep an eye on my nutrients as well but from what I've read in books it's not necessarily bad to be over a little in one thing or another sometimes. It kind of keeps your metabolism on its toes. One thing I watch closely is my…
  • Thank you! I'll admit I'm very proud of myself for doing this with changing my diet and exercising more alone. I hope everyone who wishes to become healthier whether it's lose weight or in another way is able to achieve their goals.
  • Thank you! I'm glad I could be an inspiration to some!
  • I'm not familiar with the diet but I hope you'll allow me to give some advice anyway. Don't think of it as a 'diet', think of it as a lifestyle change. It's not a temporary thing. You want to lose the weight and keep it off. That sort of thinking is what has helped me lose weight. And don't worry about past failed…
  • Thank you so much! I definitely feel years younger. And I will keep on trekking!
  • If I could go back and talk to myself I'd have to tell myself this: "It'll get better. I know you think the world sucks and you have trouble putting a smile on your face but in a couple of years you'll not only be free from depression, you'll also be way healthier and happier. It's a long and hard road but it is so worth…
  • Thank you! Good luck to you on your weight loss journey. If you need any support or ever feel discouraged feel free to message me!
  • Thank you
  • I really enjoy a good peanut butter and banana wrap or sandwich. I use PB2, sliced banana, and a low carb high fiber wrap. I also really like making steamed broccoli and sweet potatoes with a small turkey and mushroom melt sandwich or wrap. Very tasty.
  • Thank you! I've had people who didn't recognize me at first. Honestly, it was a lot of exercising and changing how I eat and what I eat. I made my exercise goal to do at least 12 5Ks in 2017 and I actually exceeded that number. I also cut out any food you can get through a drive-thru/pick up window, sodas, and the junk…
  • That's amazing! Congrats! You look great!
  • You're welcome!
  • Aw, thank you! I don't think I'm really a hero but I'm proud of myself for what I have succeeded.
  • Thank you! It's amazing how much better I feel compared to a year ago.
  • Thank you! It's interesting because not only do I look younger but I feel younger too. I feel better than I did in high school!
  • Thank you! Yeah, I think it's mostly on my lower belly, hips, and thighs at this point. We'll see how things go!
  • I like Burlington Coat Factory. You can shop online and if there is a store nearby they have free returns on online orders to their stores.
  • This is amazing! You look amazing! Keep it up!
  • Hi! I recently lost 144 pounds (a bit over 10 stone) in 2017. It took me a year, but it was completely worth it! I found small steps really helped me at first. I cut out soda and started paying attention to portions and exactly what it was I was eating. Gradually I found myself leaning away from meats and eating more…
