Hi, my stats are very similar to yours - 30+ pounds lost last year, in a similar time frame. I've been maintaining for 10 months. As the previous poster advises, maintenance strategies vary by individual but here's what works for me: - Daily weighing, using Happy Scale to track the trend - Daily logging on MFP: I have to…

The comment I get that really makes me smile is from people who knew me 25 years ago and, after seeing me for the first time in years, say 'You haven't changed at all'. Of course, I have changed a lot (30lb lost - BMI 25 down to 20) but I take it as a huge compliment because they mean 'you haven't aged'.

Thank you so much! You’re right, my BF has dropped significantly. I’m not sure of the exact figures because have to go by what my scales tell me and I know that’s a notoriously unreliable way of measuring, but I’m certainly feeling a lot better. I’ve also noticed, as I persevere at maintenance, that the boniness in my…

I’m 50, 5’9” and 138lb. Maintenance range 136-140. I’ve been maintaining for 8 months.

I love these inspirational pictures! Many congrats to all. Here is a record of my more modest achievement. There is a 13.5kg (30lb difference) between the photos. Second one taken today. It took about 5 months to lose the weight and I’ve now been maintaining - and v slowly recomping - for 8 months. Find I have to work at…

Wow, what a transformation. May I ask how tall you are?
-
You LOOK amazing.
-
Wow, what a transformation! Well done, you.
-
You look wonderful.

That’s a stunning transformation in one year. Here’s a pair documenting my more modest success - July 2018 vs July 2019. I have been in maintenance/recomping for the past three months.
-
Wow, what an impressive transformation in just 8 months!

I have shared these before but here’s photographic evidence of my small success story: SW 169 CW 139 Height 5’9” Now being much more relaxed about tracking while I work on a v slow recomp.

You look stunning!

No way are you 62!

I love the photo success stories: they have been an essential weapon in my weight loss armoury. Here are my before and after pics, with stats as follows: Height 175cm (5’9”) SW 76.85 kg (169lb) CW 62.7 kg (138lb) Maintaining for 2 months, with a range of 62.5 to 64.5

Sorry, post above was in response to this!

Hi, and thank you! My daily calorie intake was quite low - I set my activity level to sedentary - so 1200 (urgh) but I added lots of exercise and ate back most of what I earned. My official maintenance calorie intake is also low (1600) but in all honesty I rarely stick to that and have become a bit lazy about tracking. I…

Brilliant work! I love these success pics - they have been a key motivator in my own journey. Here is a recent update of my progress. Height 175 cm (5’9”) SW 76.8 (169lb) CW 62.7 (138lb) I’ve been maintaining - and trying to recomp - for 2 months, finding this just as challenging as losing!
-
Wow, you look so much younger!
-
Thanks so much, everyone!

Wow, what a transformation. I too feel something of an imposter, since I had just a modest amount to lose (relatively), but here is my most recent pic at 139lb next to a start weight similar to yours (169). I credit a lot of my success to all the inspirational photos on here.

Here’s my small success story - 14kg (30lb) lost since last autumn, with the last month maintaining and I think I’ve achieved some recomposition in the process. I’ve done this mainly through daily body weight exercises (triceps dips, press-ups and squats) plus a short run 2x/week and the occasional trip to the gym in…

So impressed by all these transformations! Reading everyone’s inspirational stories - and seeing their pics - has been what has kept me motivated. I am 175cm (5ft 9) and my stats are: SW 76.8kg (169lb) CW 64.2kg (141lb) Reckon I’m pretty much at goal now. Any thinner and my chest starts to look too bony.

SW 76.8 CW 64.2 Height 175 (5ft 9) Most of this loss (11kg) has happened this year, and the silver bullet has been quitting alcohol.

Does this work? It’s my first post ever! Have been browsing the boards for months and finally have something to share. SW 76.8 kg CW 64.2 Height 175 cm Start photo dates from July 2019 but most of my weight loss (11kg) has been this year, and chiefly because I have quit booze.
