  • Mine was upper chest and shoulders. So while the rest of me took time and much fat loss to shrink, my collar bones and shoulder bones were very evident very early on.
  • Never going back. 92lbs lost.
  • 145 to 154 in a week, then down to 141 the following week (all Monday weights). That was a combination of TOM and effervescent paracetamol (acetaminophen) which has a stonking 845mg of sodium per 2 tablet dose.
  • Congratulations on a phenomenal success! Wishing you the very best for the future!
  • Read this entire thread over several months while stepping in my kitchen (getting my 10k steps in every day). When I started reading, I was perhaps halfway through my journey, and over the past two month I hit my goal and went beyond it. This thread kept these feet moving and the determination to succeed high. Things I’ve…
  • This is with a 50lb loss
  • Everything counts, even shuffling around in your house! I use my Fitbit, averaging around 12000 steps per day, most of it is pacing/stepping in time to the music I have playing, and school runs. I’ve noticed the scale definitely drops faster when I clock in a decent amount of steps compared to when I don’t.
  • I have a lot less than I thought I would. It’s only noticeable when I bend over and it hangs off my tummy, but upright it’s hardly noticeable at all. My bottom is a bit wrinkly in places, and my inner thighs too, but only noticeable if you’re looking for it. My arms hang a little bit but I’ve always been very self…
  • I have ten squares of dairy milk chocolate every evening in front of the telly after the kids have gone to bed. 266 calories I make sure to prelog every day so I’ve got the calories for it. I’ve lost over 80lbs and entered maintenance a few weeks ago.
  • I weigh first thing (after visiting the toilet) before I drink or eat anything. Whether or not I poo before is up to the gods. :D
  • I wanted a Superdry coat, but knew they come up small and I was always way too big for one. Today, to take advantage of the sale, I went into store thinking I’d buy myself a L or XL ladies coat, and emerged with a M! With room for a jumper underneath!
  • I want to. I’ve gone under goal weight now (wiggle room), but it’s the cost that is holding me back. That and I can’t decide on the design. I have the constellation Scorpius on one inner forearm, and want something on the other to balance it. I want so many different things though and rather than try and fit everything…
  • 81lbs lost!!
  • This is good advice. Initially I wanted to be under 11 stone (154). That is the ultimate red outline maximum. The moment I crept under 154 I’ve stayed under 154. I got down to 148 with a sudden whoosh when I decided to try maintenance. 150.2 today and well under 154 so all is good! Plenty of wiggle room to figure this out!
  • Superb you guys! Thanks for your responses. I bumped up 2.4lbs this past week and dropped 0.4lb this morning. Very early days, but first week of eating at maintenance is finished. :)

  • As everyone said, you’ll do well to follow the mfp calorie allowance. I didn’t pay any attention whatsoever to macros and have lost 75lbs. Good luck!
  • Face and upper chest/shoulders (above boobs). I’m like skeletor there, but plenty fleshy everywhere else. Not a great look with the obvious collar bones and top three ribs visible. If I could move some from my hips/thighs and arms to pad that area out, I’d be golden! :D
  • My day was busy! Dropped kids to school, danced in my kitchen to “the greatest show” on repeat while cleaning, did some push ups, went to the shops (grabbed a cute turquoise top from the charity shop), picked my youngest up from preschool and took him to infant school for his second taster session, picked up kids, cooked…

  • The stomach doesn’t shrink at all (unless you have bariatric surgery). What changes are the signals your stomach sends to the brain to signal hunger/fullness. There was a thread on here a while ago that went into great detail about it (I think). Perhaps a quick search will bring it up.
  • I’ve only tracked periods for the past 3 cycles so far and for me, yes, it does appear that I gain 3-5lbs the week leading up to period and then whoosh in the second half of period week.
  • It’s ‘cause that golden ONEderland is right there within reach. I hope you get your whoosh really soon and it be a good one! I was 0.4lb away from my next “mini goal” last week. 0.4 for DUCKS SAKE! :D Now I’m 2.8lb away because the scale has been playing games. It’ll happen. You better come in here to celebrate when you’ve…
  • I have this too. Every time. And when I don’t have this, I have “can’t connect to servers” error. Fun times.
  • Initially I chose an ultimate goal (10 stone -140lb), but altered it a few months ago to 154 (11 stone) as an initial goal because I’m beginning to suspect 140 will be rather low for me. Once I hit 154 I will reassess. (161 now). I’m actually not fussed where I land now weight wise, it’s more about finding my happy spot…
  • Surely the sensible thing would be to get the strongest wine you can find? ;) You’ll get a buzz from a much smaller quantity, therefore saving yourself from consuming too many calories!
  • Well done!!! I could have written your post myself. I’m toying with beginning recomp. I’ve lost 62lb and my arms were slow to get the memo, as were my thighs. I won’t even mention my stomach. I still want to lose another 12lbs to hit goal. Good luck and let us know how you get on! Xx
  • Or have a look on eBay/Facebook marketplace for a preloved one? People are always upgrading so you could find yourself a perfectly good one for a fraction of the price of new? AND Fitbit are typically really good (in my experience anyway) at replacing faulty ones etc. My husband bought a second hand one once, and the…
