  • Edited to add: I don’t just ride park. I don’t know if I came across like that or not. Back in the day, we rode the stuff we made and just rode in forests, walking tracks, trails, fire trails, to school, home, shops, everything etc. bikes have exploded on n the past ten years in mtb.. I’m Lucky to live next door to some…
  • I ride a full sus now with 120mm of travel, slacker head angle, longer reach and steeper seat..disc breaks, dropper post, single chain as you’d expect ect.. it’s got air fork and lock outs on both rear and front. I’m very happy with it. It was hard to choose between the more aggressive enduro bike vs this one. It’s more…
  • Hi amorfati701070 😊. Yes It’s amazing how far you can push a gravel bike. Seen a few people take them on very mild green trails which is quite impressive but there comes a point where they are not efficient. A ht is a game changer 😆. The best teacher is a ht. I had one for years and years. It was a cheap crap one but still…
  • Hello there fellow mountain biker!! Good to see mountain bikers here! What kind of riding is your thing? I’m XC / enduro. Too scared for the gravity but do like dh and a few little drops and such. Just to add: I’m banged up right now after falling down the stairs today., because what’s one more injury to a mountain biker…

  • I'm an Aussie as well 🙂. I've been here for a long time. I lost about 30kg, most of it through ww. Then I switched over to MFP for the last remaining bit which is proving very challenging to get rid of. Feel free to add me as a friend. The more the merrier. We can help support and cheer each other on. I have my diary open…

  • I went into ovarian failure at 37 just after the birth of my third child..I'm 40 now. I have a rare chronic illness which is related to this and complications from all that hormone reduction going unnoticed for so many years. I'm on hrt and the endocrinologist is trying to induce a period but I think that ship has sailed…
  • Hey there, its great you are thinking about taking steps for your health and well being. It's also great that you are now thinking that the measures you previously took were too extreme. I agree with you. They sound too extreme to me. I couldn't do that! I think exercising 4-5 hrs a day is too much for most people. I…
  • any kind of fruit as suggested goes really well. I always like to add in passion fruit pulp and some lemon juice as a "dressing" for the salad.. Watermelon and mint goes really well together! and I agree with look for what is in season.. just play around with it. You'll find what you like best.
  • Hi there Han_Han.. I'm from across the ditch 🙂 happy for you to add me as a friend.
  • Feel free to add me 🙂 always looking for more friends ☺️ it really helps 😉.
  • I agree, it's hot in summer and hard to run. I tend to perform better in the cooler temperatures as well. or I go for the runrise and dawn or something like that.. but it's hard to coordinate with children etc.. and waking up at that hour LOL.
  • Oh I'm not a fast runner! I'd love to add you as a friend, no matter the distance or the speed. I say if you are running 1k or 2mtrs you are a runner in my mind.. it's such an enjoyable thing.
  • Yes I joined a trail running group and then covid happened and I must wait til restrictions ease up and I can go on a run with them. I communicate a lot with them tho, they do a buddy system as well with more experienced runners taking on the less experienced ones. I hope to glean the advice from the more experienced all…
  • I'm running around my neighbourhood too LOL.. the neighbours are getting sick of me :/ . all this covid lock down running LOL :D .. anyway.. that route sounds really cool, battle fields wow!! You can do it, just keep on plugging away.. I get you tho.. some days I have no idea if I will pass this marathon training.
  • Thank you so much everyone for replying. I'm so sorry it took so long to read these replies. I'm still working out MFP all these years later LOL. I think I sent everyone a friend request.
  • Thanks 😊 I will do, sent a request. Today I'm hitting my second time on a trail. This one will be more technical than last time. A fatigue session before the long run tomorrow. I live in Australia and lucky to be surrounded by bush. Due to the exercise restrictions by COVID, I'm allowed to go in there and run but not…
  • Hi everyone 🙂. I'm not new to MFP. I've lost about 30kg and I'm on the final pounds which are tricky and hard. Would be great to have friends so we can help push each other along. I'm very active, very into the exercise... a runner. It's good to have friends to Help motivate and support each other because it's really hard…
  • Hey I'm Nicole from Australia, I'm on the last few kgs which is insanely hard to get off. Working towards my first ever half marathon 😬.. I'm back to MFP to help inspire me and get motivated. I'm a chronic starter stopper. Had a lot of disturbing health issues (bone health, asthma, hormone etc) not so long ago and took up…
  • Not sure what I can add here but I'm studying psych and doing a unit on health behaviour change. I'm currently my own test case for an assignment on this very thing. All psych students need to test themselves in this unit. Its very facinating. My behavioyr change goal is similar to yours which is why I responded to you.…
  • This sort of thing can happen in a friendship. I'm not saying that you are both "friends" but you were joined together through a shared interest.. it sounds like the start of a friendship.. Things go smoothly for a time until something happens or a comment is made or people reveal their values to be different to yours and…
  • I'm going to go for a run, and then the zoo with my kids. It looks so cold outside.. hard to get the motivation to run today.
  • Yep. 7 years later and 3 kids in, I'm still loosing.. but on to that final few kilos now. I lost about 30kgs in total. It's possible. Totally possible to loose weight after kids!! Sometimes it takes longer or its harder because of our families needs, fatigue, stress, mum Life often gets in the way.. but it's totally…
  • I'm in a similar situation. I'm doing a psych degree and doing a unit specifically about heath and behaviour change with eating and exercise as the major focus.. it is extremely interesting to me right now. I'm also making healthier choices and trying to change myself. I've lost well over 30kg in 7years from adopting small…
  • Happy America day to Americans 🎉🎉🎉... I'm in Melbourne and its freezing. My kids have the flu. I'm trying really hard to avoid pigging out on crap. It's really tempting me. Doesn't help I've had no sleep. So thsrs usually the trigger.
  • Not a punk, former misfit with huge eclectic musical tastes. I'm a huge fan of DK! I was into a lot of metal, death metal and grunge mostly. Is it bad to say that im still into this 😂. Made me smile to read that someone else loves the mighty Dead Kennedies! Jello was the best! Had to "wave" to you and also say how jealous…
