Thanks everyone. Yesterday I was a few hundred steps short but today I got my 6k steps in. If I keep at it in little bursts every day then I can get to 6k even in days when I can't get outside for a full walk. I can't wait till winter is over as the sun and warmth will make it easier to be outside!

Hey everyone, it's been awhile. I've been doing my best to get out in the cold and walk. On a personal note, I'm going through a divorce right now after nearly 2 decades, which has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life. This was a bit of a blind side for me so I'm coping with all of the unexpected change…

Took a little jog this morning and a walk around a favorite store today but nothing serious. Been sticking to the diet, and trying to focus on my sleep and gentle daily exercise. I stopped lifting this month because there was too much and I needed to drop something. But that and a few daily walks each day will be my August…

I've gotten outside in the sun three times this week for walks. I always push harder outside! The mid day heat is grueling and really stressful. I'm trying not to make exercise too taxing on my body as my goal is continuous heart healthy walks and weights each week, not over training to exhaustion or running fast. Because…

Primarily Dairy free for the past two years and doing well with it here. Its a transition by it can be done 😁

Hi all, I had to spend a lot of time recovering since my surgery last year and adjusting to new meds so got out of the habit of checking in with our group. Also agree that the walk at home without Leslie isn't that good or uplifting so I tend to stick to her walks. My Leslie walk at home expires end of next month and I…

Happy summer all. To be honest, I had surgery last summer, gained 20 lbs in recovery, and I'm now in early meno and take hrt and have been actively exercising, lifting light weights and doing cardio and eating according to ww since December and lost nothing 😔 anytime I've lost a pound or two, it's back on my body within a…

2 fast miles today. Hit about 4k steps 4 days this week. I'm not where I want to be yet but day by day step by step I will get there.

Where did this month go? I've been working 7 days a week and only averaged 1-2 miles total most days. I'm only working 5 days a week for the next month so I'm hoping to use this time to reintitiate good habits of am walking, vegetables for lunch, and self control at celebrations!

Welcome @pamperedlinny to the group! Thank you @texasgardnr for starting us up again this month. My November goal is simple as I move the party indoors- 30 minutes brisk walking to start the day every morning before I do anything else!
-
covid went through our home as well (I stayed healthyish!) and so I took it a bit easy on myself in terms of workouts and just focused on staying well. sometimes we do the best we can under the circumstances instead of running ourselves into the ground- maybe our team theme for the month is extending the same grace to…

I've lifted twice and walked three fast walks this week totalling over 7k steps a day. I'm feeling good about my workouts!
-
My workouts are going well. I've lifted twice this week and consistently walking > 7k steps a day. But I'm STRUGGLING to pull back on carbs- it's been a few years since I've done strict low carb in winter and I had forgotten how hard it is to clear the system when you're eating junk. Gah, this is hard!
-
@texasgardnr thank you for always being such a positive light of encouragement here. Have you tried setting a rule for yourself like movement after breakfast, lunch and dinner daily or alarms set and you move (whether it's for 5 minutes or 30 depending on how you feel in the moment but the rule is you HAVE TO MOVE)? My…

I'm here with some health fears and also some "can I actually do this?" fears. My treatment team advised me to change up my diet and exercise based on surgical reports from a major procedure this summer and analysis of my pre and post op labs. I have 6-8 weeks until lab redraws to see if I can positively impact my health…

Oh, I'm going first! Last month I got my steps up (missed the 10k, more like 5-6k most days) which was really nice consistent walking and some really strong fast walks in there. I did one lift session a week the last 3 weeks, which were short, because my abs felt it and I realized just how much core strength I've lost…
-
Thank you. I'm planning to do another weights session today so I'm going to search Jessica Smith TV! I'VE BEEN OVER 7500 steps everyday this week and double digits 10k plus 3 days, even with a conference away from home, so I think it was a great week. Weight hasn't dropped but I've maintained and maybe with the sleep…
-
In the past 6 days I've hit 8000 steps every day. My goal in the week ahead is to hit over 9000 steps a day, everyday, and inch towards more than 10k daily by end of month. My weight is stagnant, but my sleep and bathroom schedule are both on point so I know the walking regularly through the day is helping. I also hope to…

Happy fall yall! My goal for September is to end the month consistently achieving > 10k steps daily. I renewed my leslie for a year and plan to incorporate some of her walks and walk, lift run in the coming months as my restrictions ease up. I've gained this summer but I keep reminding myself that healing was the priority…

3.2 miles today. Achieved my goal in 47 minutes 😊

I've been working up to just under an hour and close to the 3 miles at a time goal i set. I've found that my body can't keep up with that everyday though so some days i only walk 2 miles and occasionally i take a rest day. I'm trying to do the 3 miles/1 hour at a time at least 4 days a week right now. Sometimes I do it…

Forgot to mention, I renewed my annual subscription to Leslie walk at home app to keep me walking as the weather gets too rainy/ cold etc this year and with a goal of incorporating some of her strength workout this fall too when I am cleared by my medical team

I've been walking 6 out of the first 7 days of August. I'm going about 1.6-1.7 miles in 35 minutes presently. My body really moves at this pace and my fit bit usually acknowledges it as an elliptical workout 🤣 It's been so hot and humid here and it's going to rain most of the week so if it's not good outside I'm walking…
-
My goal for August is to get to 45 continuous minutes walk at least once every day with a bonus evening walk that will probably be shorter and slower but it's good to be out in nice weather! I'm hopeful by the end of August I'll be walking 2+ miles consistently in that 45 minutes. I'm working hard on that walk to be my…
-
I've worked up to 30 minutes once a day and then usually a bonus 10-30 minutes second walk. But my 30 minutes is not only longer than it was earlier in the month my pace is really picking up and I'm walking over a mile in that time! So I'm excited to say that I am feeling a lot better and I'm sleeping well this week and…
