  • I start work very early in the morning so I go to the gym at my lunchtime. Protein time when I return from the gym. Keeps my routine going M-F.
  • Almost everyday... Monday morning is my final number for each week.
  • OP - I know you may not want to do a protein shake however I have been very successful with the Costco Muscle Milk Vanilla Whey Protein. 30g protein, 3g carbs, 2g fat. I add a 1/2 or whole banana and it tastes very good. I do this almost once a day, especially on weight days. Just a thought to try it.
  • I'm with you too. I started Jan. 16, 2018 and MFP has helped me so much. I hit the gym 5 days a week and even eat somewhat clean along with MFP. Nearing a 20 lbs. loss in weight and body transformation. This motivates me even more. Great job to all who stick with it.
  • I went over today by about 200 calories... including the Whey Protein Shake I just had. Not bad, and only once since Jan.
  • I love my oatmeal everyday! It is like dessert to me. I do add a little brown sugar and craisens, then have it with my coffee. It is under 300 calories total for breakfast and holds me till my lunch. I don't miss a day and is a must have for me.

  • Welcome! Feel free to add me, I'm in the same boat to lose 40lbs.
  • Only gauge yourself and your progress, don't compare, soon you will start seeing a difference in yourself and I promise you that will motivate you. I used to look at others that way, but now I look at them from a learning perspective, to see what exercises I can do. Now I'm a guy, but we look at each other just like girls.…
  • My WHY was in a form of a heart attack and my wife. Even after the stent for my heart, I gained even more weight feeling sorry for myself, BUT then something snapped in me in Jan. I have been on MFP making good progress, losing inches and lbs., working out in the gym. I'm getting into shape and heading in the right…
  • Congrats on your results ... I'm on a similar journey, 60 years young and lost 15 lbs. over several weeks. Doing cardio and weight training and like you, the old body is slowly coming back. People are starting to take notice. Keep it going strong, I know I will...
  • I'm a man, 60+ years old, SW 250, 1500-1600, but I do cardio twice a week and weights 3 days a week, rest on the weekends. I rarely "cheat" on my foods and am losing 1.5-2 lbs. consistently, weekly. Been doing this about 3 months and down16 lbs. You may want to review the foods you eat and consider some exercise to help…
