Sometimes it's REALLY HARD to stay motivated, but I look at how far I've come, and how much better I feel and look. Reading these posts helps so much!

I was in the same situation as you, for decades, then decided that I had to do something to get the weight off and be healthy. I am back down to my single-person weight of 30+ years ago and never felt better. It has taken almost two years, with many speed bumps. Most of the time I feel good, but waves of depression come in…

Hey there, I am about 10-15 lbs from goal, finding it HARD to stay motivated, kinda tired of tracking, but I'm sticking it out! Let's DO this!

1. Victory: Down almost 60, about ten pounds from goal. 2. Challenge: Weekends, want to stay home from the gym and veg. 3. Encouragement, tip, advice, trick, etc.: Take a (measured) portion in a bowl, put the package back in the cabinet, go to another room and have your snack.

Hi there! I've been on the app for almost two years, and have lost about 60 lbs, about 10-15 lbs from goal. Congrats on the 15 lb loss! Every day is a struggle, my weight graph looks like shark teeth ; D. Tracking and strict portion control are key, you can have pretty much what you like as long as the portions are right.…

Circuit training ups your metabolism and helps prevent muscle loss we tend towards as we age. Brava on your endeavor to better yourself!

I get most of my gear at thrift stores- UA, Danskin, MPG, VS, RBK, LLBean- sometimes Ebay, most for less than $5.

Daily logging is a small price to pay for maintenance. After working SO HARD to lose weight, you're worth the time invested to log your food and keep off the weight. I choose to stay thin by daily logging.

I make mine by adding a large can of sliced peaches in juice, instead of adding water. Delicious with low-fat yogurt topping!

I have oatmeal almost every day, no sweetener, with either fruit or PB2 and flax seed. Sometimes I add a pinch of nuts.

I love walking trails, there are several in my area.

Personally, I don't want to have one. It is reported they emit radiofrequency, and I'd rather not expose myself to that strapped on me 24/7.

Rowing machine is the best overall workout. I use an elliptical or treadmill too. Try each one and see what's best for you.

My favorite workout bra is Moving Comfort. It fits well, doesn't bind, and really holds in place. The straps are comfortable too.

My reward is reaching my weight loss goal. Along the way, I have been replacing my fat clothes with upscale brand smaller clothes, getting upscale workout gear, and then splurged on a gym membership. Every time I look in the mirror, I see my reward.

Walked to the lighthouse and back, 4.25 miles, then spent an hour digging up a shrub on the side of the house that was a nuisance. Yesterday did 30 minutes circuit training and 45 minutes of treadmill.

LMFAO!

I prefer after work, mid to late afternoon to work out, but on weekends I do earlier. It doesn't matter what time of day, as longas you're consistent.

I was wondering the same thing, so I contacted the manufacturer of my treadmill. It calculates calories burned according to 185 pounds, so I divide that into my weight and get approx 75%, so I take 75% of the calories on the machine for my workout total.

Well done!

I have a real problem with cravings and binges too - I have to keep chocolate locked up, only hubby has the key! I read a book, free on Amazon, called "Never binge again," that is helping me a great deal, you should definitely check it out.

My job is sedentary, so I need to do something after work. Walking and hiking are my most common activities, but I go to the gym twice a week for circuit training. I wasn't always this active. In the past, I would have a few months of regular exercise, but then slack off and gain more weight. More recently, it just became…

Feel free to ask me, I'll help you! I've lost over 60 pounds in the last 18 months. I log every day, no judging.

Goetz caramel creams (aka bullseyes) and Charlston Chews (especially minis, frozen). Cannot keep in the house- hubby hides them, but my mission is to find them and eat them ALL!
-
My favorite evening snack is a banana with 1 Tbsp of peanut butter and Hershey light chocolate syrup.

What an amazing story, bravo. I, Too, think of this as a life change, not a diet. Diets are temporary. Feeling great and eating well should be permanent.

I'm 5'4", down 65 pounds since March 2018. This is a size 8 silk dress I got for $1. I've never been a size 8 in my whole life!
