  • If you're tired of soup and protein shakes, maybe try yogurt drinks? Lassis are tasty.
  • Definitely gonna check my local target and see if they have some, thanks!
  • Where did you find those? I've been looking for dairy free pumpkin spice creamer everywhere!
  • I've gone vegan pretty recently, I'd love connect with others!
  • This. I just imported a recipe and MFP interpreted "280g spelt flour" as 280 servings at 3 oz a serving, with an incorrect flour entry to boot. So make sure to double check the ingredients list for accuracy. ☺️
  • I don't share my goal weight (and hesitate to talk about it on MFP) because it is higher than a healthy BMI range.
  • This is about to change my life.
  • That article is... interesting. They're acting like cutting your calories to a reasonable level is some terrible burden, only achievable by herculean strength and monk-like levels of asceticism. But yeah, requiring calorie information will help my obesity, but that's because I've already committed to paying attention to…
  • The idea of licking butter off of a spoon just made my stomach turn
  • I agree with everyone else. Slow down for now and go see your doctor. I had that same problem and got diagnosed with asthma. It's also gotten better since I've gotten more in shape.
  • That's a benefit for you using it. It's not a benefit for removing the prescription requirement.
  • You can add foods. Also, I find it hard to imagine there aren't some Korean food items already in the database. Lookup a recipe or two for the types of foods you ate (not from health food blogs) and put them in the recipe builder. If you don't want to log it, don't. But it's possible.
  • Craft brewers, duh. Seriously, if big pharma could sell you steroids they would. The government doesn't regulate them because they make more money by doing so. They'd make more money with a steroid tax. Even marijuana isn't banned for profit reasons. Whether these things should be banned or not is a worthwhile question,…
  • You might try having a conversation with your doctor where you emphasize that you need help controlling your symptoms, even if the cause hasn't been determined yet. "Hey Doc, these digestive issues are making me miserable and I'm losing a lot of weight. What can we do to get this under control while we try to find the…
  • Are you on medication for your schizophrenia? Lots of anti-psychotics cause an increase in appetite. That can be really uncomfortable to try to fight through, so see if a chat with your med provider can reveal some different options. Also, you mentioned you used to run a lot. Do you still? Do you enjoy it? More activity…
  • See, I didn't even know what a toner was, so that makes sense. ~The more you know~
  • Different types of shoes are for different things. If the shoes you're wearing now have high arches, find some with lower arches. If they're low, get some high. Your want your foot to be supported without bending it out of shape. Also, make sure they have support for side to side movements (so not running shoes). Are there…
  • You have any links about this? I've seen where prolonged exposure (putting ACV on bandages) caused chemical burns. Never seen anything about brief applications of diluted ACV causing burns. I'm quite curious!
  • You know your family better than we do, so you'll have a better idea of whether those comments seem well meaning or not. People can worry that somebody is too caught up in their appearance, or has low self-esteem, or is showing signs of an eating disorder, or anything else that is unhealthy. They may be trying to help you…
  • "Alright kids, you each get one protein shake and I better not hear one complaint " Yeah, get them some food OP.
  • You're telling me you don't like dirty rice? Shame! You don't have to eat anything you don't like. Somebody would have to strap me down to make me eat an avocado, and I'd be kicking and screaming the whole time. The trick is to try things you haven't tried before and to try the foods you like, just prepared a little…
  • Does a long term liquid diet sound good? Will Man Shakes be able to fit in your budget for the long term? If so, then it seems like a good choice to me. Like @Colorfan said, they don't seem different from other weight loss shakes. They're just low calorie liquid meal replacements, like every other shake on the market. If…
  • Can you get in touch with another surgeon or care provider? There are doctors and clinics that will take on bariatric patients from other surgeons. You really do need legitimate medical advice in this situation.

  • Pretzels, Cheez-Its, and Goldfish are all salty crunchy things. Veggies and hummus might scratch that itch. Also nuts and seeds (salted, flavored, you name it). Roasted chick peas or edamame fall in that category too. For granola bars... I eat granola bars. Some of them aren't that bad on the calories/sugar front. But also…
  • Excuse you, but national peach cobbler day is no laughing matter.
  • Confession, I totally do. I have a problem with ignoring my thirst so being conscientious about making sure I get enough fluids is important for me. I've been chastised by doctors since I was a child for being dehydrated all the time. Not saying it's the same for op, but counting fluids isn't necessarily dieting woo.
  • I'm not at all familiar with the medical system in Sweden. Are there any support groups or income-based programs you can look at? Even just being around people who share your struggles and are working through them can be great for your headspace.
  • What do you mean by healthy exactly? I get full on a mighty kid's meal from McDonald's. 6 nuggets, small fry, apple juice, Gogurt. McDonald's website puts it at 580 calories. Swap the fries for apple slices and you're down to 370. Ditch the juice box for water and you're down 40 more (but nobody can take away my juice box!)
  • Cheap booze.
  • If you have urgent health issues caused by being overweight, I think surgery might be a good choice. Talk to your doctor about it if you haven't. An educated medical opinion is tons better than dreaming of a surgery thinking it will help. If you don't have urgent health issues, then you have time to lose slowly. Take that…
