It's duck egg day ! I do love them, so much tastier than a hen's egg and smoother too. 3 of them in an omelette with spicy cajun sauce & some mini sweet peppers with a sprinkle of corned beef and I am very happy. That's going to keep Me going through till tea tonight.

Good morning everyone. No idea why but I keep getting friend requests from men who have a semi naked woman as their profile pic and said women are certainly in no need to be here by the looks of them. Anyone else getting them ?

Been to see the consultant today and his comment was "that's a bit of a mess" So now I'm being referred to the deformity reconstruction specialists who say they will will have to break the bone in several places pin it, plate it to straighten it. Not the best of days but it's not going to stop Me.

Well it's a cold Sunday night, just starting My last shift of the weekend, roll on the morning so I can have a few days off for a bit of a rest. Hope you all have had a great weekend, I know I have, work or otherwise. Lots of exercising in the office with the resistance bands is helping and keeping Me going in the right…

The gym comes in a tiny bag! Love these things, I can do a workout without leaving the office. Best purchase in ages.

So another work week begins, worst time for shift workers when your Monday morning is everyone else's Friday night. Driving in seeing all the happy faces going the other way towards a weekend.. Still mustn't grumble as at least I get 3 nights of relative peace and quiet, just roll on Monday morning when I get to return the…

So, visited the consultant regarding my knee problems & leg alignment issues. Seems the left femur is bowed, kind of knew but never seen it in a full length X-ray before. Suggested they may have to consider a Osteotomy which means cutting the femur, realigning it then bolt it back together with pins and plates... Also I am…

Hurrah, end of January and managed to hit my target of 18 stone. 10lbs gone in the month, well chuffed. Now to start on February and see if I can keep the momentum up, 28 days to get to 17st 8lb or less. I think that is an acceptable level of loss.

Well after the birthday weekend, went a little off piste and subsequently put 3lb back on I have got to get back on track. Food logging is paramount for me else I just miss the little bits and pieces that I may eat during the day. The diary is open for all to see and happy to make friends with all to help out where I can.

Another year gone by, 54 now, body is ever so slightly knackered but still going to keep on pushing. Got a wardrobe full of clothes I cannot get into and that has to change this year, by the next one I will be in them.

Well the weekend has started here, shift work so any day off is a weekend as far as I am concerned. X-rays this morning, painkillers after and now got to chill for a few hours to let it calm down. I am pleased with what I have managed so far this year and looking forwards to it continuing.

New year and 12 days in I am feeling quite good, weight wise anyway. Have managed to shift 9lb so far so getting towards the 18st threshold which always seems to be a bit of a sticking point, hopefully this time I will get through it and keep on going.

I have added you also. More friends is always good.

Back into work we go, ho hum... Had a letter from My consultant which says I have damage to medial meniscus of my left knee with a possible tear, also the leg alignment is off so it bows outwards putting extra strain on the joint... nothing to do but work around it and hope they can get me fixed up in some way or another.…

After what seems like an age away from here I am back again. Knee is knackered, though the doc's cannot give me a definite answer, possible arthritis, damage to the posterior horn, torn ligament on inside of the knee, cartilage damaged etc etc, MRI says one thing, X-rays say another..so painkillers and a limited exercise…

Good morning all, a wonderful cold, wet and windy day here in the UK but hey ho it's the weekend, I am off work and am going to be doing a whole lot of nothing but unwinding and relaxing.

Good morning all and welcome to FRIDAY !!!!

Good morning all, hope you have a great day !

I am very much the same, prefer not to have a breakfast, unless it's a treat full English which happens rarely, and go straight through to lunchtime before eating. When at home that works well, when I am working though I prefer to have something as getting up at 5am and then not eating till lunchtime is too much of a…

Hi all, been here awhile but been slacking in my connection with you all. Recently started a 16:8 intermittent fasting along with normal workouts etc. Always looking for new friends to help out on this journey. Currently at 18st 2lb and looking to get to 15st again. A long journey ahead but one I hope to reach.
-
Started my 16:8 fasting yesterday, at home wasn't too bad to get through though today is more of a test as I am in work for 12 hours so every meal will be eaten there. I have planned it all out as much as possible to negate the urge to eat when I eventually get home and cannot eat. Fingers crossed this works...

Hi all, been awhile since I posted in here, life just seems to have been getting in the way lately. Still time I buckled down and get things sorted and did this properly. Just starting out on an intermittent fasting approach, 16 hours fasting, 8 hours eating. A friend has been doing it a little while and it has worked…
-
Thank you, that explains it in just the right level of detail that helps me out a lot. Was wondering with working 12 hour shifts how I might fit the lot in but now skipping a meal makes the most sense. I will adjust my plan accordingly and give it a try out .

Hi all, a friend has showed me the diet he has been following, intermittent fasting on a 16:8 ratio. Never done anything like this before as generally a bit of an evening grazer. Anyone have any pointers that would help out ?
-
Good morning one and all, hope you are all doing good on the sunny & warm Monday morning. Please feel free to add me, always happy to have more friends to help along this journey.
