I quit 4.5 months ago, I got a prescription from the doctor for a stop smoking aid. I wouldn't be able to stop any other way

Take the spinach out of the container and put paper towels in the bottom, return half the spinach, add more paper towels, put the rest in and top with more towels. The towels will absorb the moisture and keep the spinach leaves fresher longer

I try to keep only people who are motivated, motivating and active. That's the criteria for being my friend here.

Thank you and good luck on your own journey

Anyone watch the netflix series "explained"? They recently had an episode on meat and the consumption of meat. They spoke about how once meat hits the grocery stores there is more protein in vegetables and legumes. Another interesting fact was about the amount of meat people consume today versus almost 100 years ago. Its…

Cico, but I'm not doing it very well. I think I need something more restrictive

That's harsh, but truthful, I appreciate that. I choose life too. No it's not life or death its major surgery or potentially not.

I quit 2 months ago, with no plans regardless of ever going back! I'm just frustrated that I eat eith no satisfaction anymore. I mean I could stand to lose a lot of lbs, so its not like I'm wasting away. I'm just frustrated of not having a satisfying meal.

I've been looking for you! I find your story so inspirational and I love that you run bare foot. I have 120lbs to lose and I just took up running. You are my motivation because I want to run like you.

I quit smoking 2 months ago. I gained about 20lbs, but I'm just getting back to clean eating, exercising and logging my calories. Giving up nicotine should not be giving up on yourself. The assumption with quiting smoking/vaping is to get healthier. The weight gain sucks, but on a quest to better myself, my job isnt over.…

I actually quit weighing myself completely and only focus on measurements. For me personally, I find that measurements are more accurate than scale numbers. It's not to say I wont weigh once in a while, but I focus most on measuring.

Good job. Hope you get good results

1880 plus 436 50% of exercise calories

I work from home, so I really enjoy the exercise as it breaks up my day. Plus I recently quit smoking (month ago) so the exercise keeps me busy so I dont crave a smoke. I'm grateful for the help. I have a hard time with the math and calculating what I need, so I just go with what I heard is adequate.

I'm 5 foot 6, weigh around 295lbs and 37 years old.

True and you are right.

So my next question, in all these weight loss shows, for example one I'm currently watching from Australia, they say eat 1500 cals per day, and burn 2500 or more. (Yes I know it's a show) but, their personal trainer suggested that and I've researched him and he is legit. If that's the case, would what I'm doing not compare?

My activity level I keep at sedentary. No I do not eat back exercise calories. I'm a fairly large woman with a lot to lose.

I do this 5 days a week with about half the time and steps of each on the weekends. I tried taking a day off and felt like it impeded on my progress.

I quit going to the doctor entirely.

I've read a lot about it leading up to today as I just started the program this morning. Everything I read was positive with a few negatives that focused mostly on people expecting it to lose weight for them. Day 1 down. I enjoyed it.

I'm proud to say I'm on day 3, and I've gone from a pack and a half of smokes a day to half. Daily I'm losing interest in smoking. Additionally, I'm sticking to my eating and exercise. I feel good. I love the comments you guys are very helpful.
-
I appreciate what you guys are saying, I'm doing it the only way I can. I'm an all or nothing type person. I've tried tackling both separately and failed at both. I need to make drastic changes and sustain them to be successful. You guys are awesome

I'm curious, what did you do to lose the weight? How long did it take you? Oyr starting weights are the same and I would love to reach that goal weight.

Yes, my idea was learning what is causing hungry and controlling eating through an awareness. Mental hunger vs physical

Hi all, after a couple of weeks of working with MFP IT, I finally can access the community again. I already requested to be on the cheersquad this month due to my community inactivity, but I'll be ready to be back in action next month!
