  • Could you explain to me exactly what is nutritious and healthy about a generic McDonald burger and fries?
  • In this context we are taking about McDonald’s aren’t we...are you arguing that you think a mcdonalds meal is a healthy nutritious meal? Like I said I don’t follow slimming world, I’m no expert.
  • Chill peeps :) I was referring to the ops question of why slimming world don’t allow takeaways...probably because they’re trying to promote healthy lifestyle /proper nutrition as well as weight loss. To those who don’t think takeaways are unhealthy...I don’t understand why you would think that.
  • Yes OP everything is probably ok in moderation I apologise
  • I don’t do slimming world but I’m guessing because chocolate and takeaways are unhealthy...? :/ is it just weight loss you want or do actually want to be healthy? Maybe they’re trying to promote your health as well as weight loss...I get everything in moderation is fine...but if you just want weight loss through eating…
  • Wow loads of great ideas there thanks all!:)
  • Give it a go and see how you go:) if it helps you stick to your calorie limit and you choose a time frame that works for you and you see results then it works. I can’t stand the thought of skipping breakfast so 9-5 works great for me but you can choose whatever fits your routine. Good luck!
  • Been doing IF past week 16:8, 9am-5pm, I’ve also cut down my calories to 1200-1300. I’ve lost 3 pounds since Tuesday, mostly water weight I’m sure. It helps me keep within my calorie limit so I’d say it’s worth a shot

  • Had a c section nearly 4 years ago, last year I really focused on my fitness so did a lot of sit-ups, leg lifts, planks and general cardio and that seemed to help a lot but it didn’t get rid of it completely. Maybe if I’d have carried on doing the ab work outs it would be fine by now who knows. But I think it is possible:)
  • Could you try to possibly up your intake of water? as I think it sounds a bit like water retention. Im no expert but I’ve heard that broccoli can cause bloating so choose veggies that don’t cause so much bloating...and pile your plate up with veggies to bulk up your meals and to add a few more calories as maybe your…
  • can you explain why it can wreak havoc with female hormones?
  • Watch ‘intermittent Fasting with dr. Mike’ on YouTube....that will explain how it works and why it’s so good for you.
  • I actually feel good today even though I was under but yesterday was pretty bad because I was 32g under... Ok yeah I was just windering what would be considered too low for carbs but guess I just need to focus more on the calories...I tried cutting carbs in the past and it just made me miserable so don’t want to risk going…
  • You do however need to focus on yourself, get yourself happy and healthy before considering another relationship. Insecurity in relationships is a recipe for disaster I’ve been there myself. YOU WILL BE OK WItHOUT A GUY. You do not need a guy to make you feel valued all you need is to value yourself. Make sure you get…
  • Definitely caffeine withdrawals by the sounds of it. Never had an issue with coke as such but I used to drink around 5/6 cups of coffee each day and like you I decided to go cold turkey and quit and my headaches were horrendous and I had body aches and felt dizzy, also slept during the day for a few hours which I never…
  • @littledainty hey that’s awesome well done!:)How much have you lost and how have you done it? I could do with some tips to stick with this, I tend to manage a week or so then fall off the wagon
  • Ok then:) I’m finding the intermittent fasting makes the calorie counting much easier which can only be a good thing right? And by clean eating I just mean eating more fruit and veg lean meats, whole grains etc... basic balanced healthy meals, drinking plenty of water and cutting out the crap which is also a good thing…
  • Thank you! Lowest I’ve been in the past is 8stone1 but that was before I had my little one...even at that weight I still wasn’t happy with how I looked. I was eating fairly healthy and doing a lot of cardio back then but I’m hoping if I do some cardio but focus more on strength/resistance and continue with IF, keep within…
  • Thank you for your reply:) I can’t remember what weight loss rate I put in but I realise at 132 pounds weight loss will be slow and steady. Ok just been reading loads of people saying 1200 calories is way too low so was a bit worried! But will stick with this and see how it goes Once I’m alright to start exercising I’m…
