Oh god you poor thing!! When I had my treadmill mishap, The lady next to me was freakin out while it was happening and when it was over she said “I didn’t know what to do!!! If that was me, I’d be on my way to the hospital now!” Lol 😂

Oh whoops I just realized this is an app specific fail thread, not general fails. Well you can add me posting in here to my list of general newb fails haha 😬😆

Bahahaha. I watched a bunch of those after it happened to me and laughed my *kitten* off. I actually almost went to the front desk to see if they could show me the footage of my disaster but decided I didn’t want to bring attention to it and end up infamous on YouTube 😆

I was really into a running session on the treadmill a few weeks ago. I felt great, the music was perfect, I was really hitting my stride——-WHACK! I’m now holding onto the handle bars for dear life as my knees and torso are brutally assaulted by the ever moving belt of the treadmill. A shoelace had come untied and I fell…

Wow, thanks for all of the great responses, guys! To answer some questions: we are allowed to wear business casual or scrubs (I work the front desk at an animal hospital). All of the girls at the front wear either things from time to time- yesterday was my first time switching it up. The hospital is privately owned and…

Happy birthday! You look much younger than 44 to me. Well done, you really look fantastic! Congratulations on finding a form of exercise that you love ❤️
-
Absolutely amazing!! Congratulations!
-
And sorry OP, I didn’t see that your profile says you’re trying to gain. I guess I would eat all of my workout calories back if I was trying to gain.
-
What kind of exercises are you logging on MFP? I log a lot of hiking and while I know I’m working hard, I kind of doubt that I’m actually burning 450+ cal/hour.

I could never do keto or any other diet that restricts what I can eat. All of my success is based on calories in, calories out (down 47 lbs since March). I always feel kind of bad for my friends doing keto/fad diets. I’ve found it’s not necessary to lose weight. Eat what you want but in moderation! Choose a way of eating…

I only eat back 50% of my exercise calories because the calorie burn is almost always WAY overestimated.

Bump!

The real battle is in the kitchen! Focus on your diet. Exercise is just bonus in my book.
-
I’m down 46 lbs since March- no Keto here! Calories in, calories out.
-
I eat what I want and I still lose weight 😎
-
Same here. Strength training + cardio and still losing weight - about 1.5 lbs/week.
-
“Eating after eight makes you gain weight”
-
You’re definitely going down 😏
-
You’re on, girl!

Also, remember that time will pass no matter what. You could be spending the time continuing to give your best effort, or you can spend your time giving up. Push forward and let that time pass while you do your best!

I’m sorry you’re struggling right now. I’ve been there, it sucks. Just try to remember that if you are definitely eating at a calorie deficit, the lbs WILL eventually come off. The scale will move. I had a 4 week stall out and it was hard not to give up, but I’m so glad that I didn’t. Keep going. Have faith in your…

You should even be measuring pre-packaged food. A pack of cookies I bought was supposed to be 30g, they were more like 25-40g, for example.
-
I’ve found “measuring” to be useless. Everything goes on the food scale. I highly recommend you completely ditch the measuring cups. They are wrong, I promise you.

I’ve lost an elephant heart! Cool :)

I love walking. It was the gateway to hiking and then that was the gateway to lifting weights which was the gateway to jogging. Now I do all 4 things several times a week and I feel better than I ever have in my life. I’m down 46 lbs with another ~15 to go. It’s nice to know that on days I need to rest up I can just walk.…

Are you using a food scale to weigh everything you eat?
-
I know you want tips for mentally handling this but I have a question- do you use a food scale to weigh your food?
-
Like others have said, most definitely log fruits and veggies (and everything else). A lot of fruit tends to be high in calories (ie bananas). Avocados are also very calorie dense.
