It's not so much looking for friends as it is just seeing different faces. Maybe nod at the regulars and just feel like I'm not the only one doing this.

I recommend seeing your doctor just to rule out anything serious. Then I'd recommend walking in a pool or doing a recumbant bike until your joints stop hurting. I also recommend yoga. Getting your muscles and ligaments loosened up really makes a big difference.

The gym would mainly be a different environment for me. I'm a housewife with no little ones at home anymore. My social circle is seriously just my husband and daughter. The gym would also have more options. But I'm not sure it's enough for me to make the plunge. I lived in a different state last time I went to a gym and…

My main goal is just to lose weight. I've got a decent amount of muscle, and I really do enjoy lifting weights. I don't have the space to set anything up here at home though. The gym near my house also has a pool, and I think that would be a good way to break up the elliptical motonony. I've taken a few classes in the past…

I know that feeling. It's an awful way to feel. I'm so sorry that you're going through this. You can make it past it. What was your original reason for starting this journey? What are your goals? What are the road blocks? If you want to add me as a friend, please do. I'd be happy to try to help you through this.

I just started using my kitchen scale yesterday. I was definitely adding more than I thought. It all adds up.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Mine died years ago and it's like swimming against the current just to maintain. Losing is very difficult (but I am slowly doing it).

Hi, I am 41 and 216 pounds. I need to lose another 91 to be healthy (I'm very short). This sucks, but maybe with friends it'll suck a little less.
