Fork put-downs and table push-aways. You can't spot reduce fat. Eat at a deficit to lose weight everywhere. Incorporating cardio and strength training will help with overall health, musculature, and posture (better posture give the appearance of a flatter stomach).

The "clearance" brand at Academy is usually cheaper!!! $5 futbol shorts, $8 running tights (aka not see through when bent over), heck yeah!

Well, it's about 12,000 calories. So all we have to do is run about 60 miles each and there we go!

Okay.... Who woo'd Sesame Street Muppets???? That's just blasphemy! :p

@quiksylver296 Wanna split a Ben & Jerry's sundae??? Other post made me want some ice cream.

^^^^^ This. I lost weight through diet and exercise, one of my best friends had gastric bypass. Neither is easy. I had to overhaul my entire lifestyle to have success, but I had a lot of slip ups that could have set me up for failure. My friend had her lifestyle overhauled for her because of the surgery so there wasn't the…

Pre-logging and having a calorie budget just for snacks. If I'm really craving chocolate and have a 200 calorie budget just for snacks, I can have the single serving package of Milano cookies (100 calories) and a sugarfree chocolate pudding cup (60 calories). Often pre-logging shows me how many calories I would be eating…

Pre-logging. Seeing how many calories I'm about to eat usually has me finding a much lower calorie alternative. Example: wanting chocolate Ohhhhhh, chocolate cake. Pre-log; 450 calories WTF!!!!! Sugar-free chocolate pudding???? 60 calories!!! Yes, pudding it is. Chocolate craving satisfied.

Awesome! You forgot one: Societal negativity: You can't....*insert random health/strength/body BS* because *more BS* Positive response: Say nothing, prove them wrong with your actions. Followed by giving yourself a high five for your success.

Infection: seek immediate medical attention!!!!! If an infection gets into your blood steam, that's called sepsis, that's when a simply infection can become very serious. For future: better socks and shoes. Ill fitting running shoes can lead to a lot of foot problems with runners. Have your running shoes professionally…

Log all your foods. Then look at what you are eating the most frequently that is also high in calories. That's where you start! Pick one or two foods that you can slightly reduce portions. If they are very calorie dense, that small change can be the difference between gaining and losing. If you find yourself hungry,…

Ohhhhhh...that I do miss. The decision to binge watch crap TV whilst mindlessly spooning the entire pint of Chunky Monkey into my happy belly. Halo Top =/= Ben & Jerry's!!!! Not even close.

Math doesn't add up. But, the thing with most high carb foods, is also what gets added on. I know very few people that like plain pasta, bread, or potatoes (and I mean plain!). Some do, but especially with pasta, sauces and especially cheese can add calories very quickly!!! Also, most American bread is made with sugar…

I've never been a breakfast eater. My normal breakfast is coffee, then a protein shake on the way to school. Requires very little time to make and gives me enough to keep me going until lunch.

For weight loss: YES!!!! You can eat ANYTHING you want so long as you remain in a calorie deficit. That means that if you have 200 Cal for breakfast, 200 calories for lunch and 1000 calories in pizza and wings for dinner, so long as you're BRM + exercise is more than 1400, you will lose weight.

Combination of water retention (probably a 90% of fluctuations) and weight of whatever is in your digestive tract. Water retention fluctuations can be caused by: 1. A change in diet 2. A change in exercise 3. Stress 4. Salt 5. TOM (obviously only applies to women) 6. Sleep 7. Caffeine 8. Hormones 9. A myriad of other…

I eat right before bed. Helps me sleep better. For the last 3 years, it's been working pretty good.

Fat: don't care Protien: don't care Carbs: don't care Calories: eat less than what I use. So far I'm down a bit over 190lbs using this method.

Delicious!

If I add some googly eyes, my stomach kinda reminds me of the Martians from Sesame Street.

To avoid the nasty comments, simply say that you're not sure the exact amount of fat you're going to lose (which is true), you're just trying to be healthier (also true) through eating a balanced diet and a decent amount of exercise. It's just vague enough to not actually give details and most people don't argue over…

Another set showing the difference posture can make as well as my plank stomach, post tummy-tuck.

Why would you want to change your eating plan? Time of day in which one eats has nothing to do with weight loss. If you find yourself snacking late at night, there are two simple solutions: 1. Eat dinner later. This method means that you will not be hungry again and avoid snacking that would put you over your calories. 2.…

There's also finger gaps. Usually discovered trying to catch crumbs swept off the table or while getting ready to shampoo and everything slips through your fingers .

Yep. I log dinner (usually my biggest meal of the day) before I even make it. I log the most I think I'll eat, and that gives me an idea of what to stick to for lunch and snacks. If I eat less than anticipated, I know that I can have an evening snack. It's just easier for me to pre-log my biggest meal of the day and adjust…

I fall into the "moderation" catagory: basically I just reduce portion sizes without eliminating or abstaining from any foods. That's means, yes I eat carbs, processed foods, fast food, refined sugar and anything else I want. The only restriction I have it to keep a calorie deficit. It's infuriating how many times I'm told…

Reducing carbs is still eating less. Regardless of which diet you're following, the long term weight loss results are still due to eating fewer calories than you use.

Cake sandwich!

Hot sauce & salsa on baked potatoes is also great. No butter, cheese, sour cream or any other high calorie toppings needed

I'm 5'7" and ~160lbs. I've been told I'm "too skinny" and "toothpicky" more than a few times. Not too many comments when I was at my heaviest.
