Sorry for the hiatus guys! It was as unexpected for me as maybe it was for you all lol. I'm on my way to work soon but when I get some free time I will give you guys an update on my life and my plan going forward.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Today I did some light hiking and trail running for in between the C25K training that I'm doing. This time I DIDNT eat dirt hahaha, and I had some nice areas to practice running on more technical terrain. Was actually quite fun.

Day two of week four of C25K is complete! I'm continuing to do well with my calories, and I'm really hoping to lose 5 lbs this week lol. I know it will probably be 2 or 3 but I'm so hungry for hitting my short term goal! Also, last known fastest mile was just over 16 minutes. Now it's a sub 15!

Alright update time! I finished week 3 of C25K and will be starting week 4 on Saturday :# I lost 3 lbs this week which gives me a 59 lb weight loss, brings me down to 380, and I'm only 5 lbs away from my second short term weight loss goal of 375. I also have some progress photos for you guys.

Thanks for all the kind words guys! It's my understanding that my brooks running shoes are kinda a middle of the road type shoe! I'm definitely going to invest in trail running shoes at some point but it's too early for that. Luckily it wasnt an issue of a grip and more an issue of me not picking my feet up high enough lol

Today was one heck of a day!! I went for a hike....only planned to do a mile and a half...buuuuuut 6 miles and 3 hours later...with a trail that was double blue and filled with climbs. Went for a hike today, only did a mile and a half because it was hot out.... Also look at these elevation changes! That's part of the reason I only did a mile and a half lol, those climbs where bloody rough!

I have a cheat meal every week so long as I have managed to lose weight that week. I dont do cheat days. On weigh in day I count all my calories and have a dinner where I just eat until I'm full and dont bother counting the calories for that one meal. I will admit it is something I look forward to.

Went for a hike today. I wish my garmin had a hiking option but I ended up just having to go with the walking setting. Somehow this ate up more calories that 2 miles of jogging and walking! Lol, maybe it took the elevation changes into account.

I plan on continuing to exercise outside during the winter, and I live in Vermont. I don't know if trail running is a thing in the winter (my new favorite "sport") but im definitely looking forward to snow shooing the trails this winter, and if I can't run any of them then I will just run the roads.

Finished the last running session of week one for C25K, and had a new personal best for my mile! 17:37 mile when I started out at 23 minutes! Just two days ago it was a 18:19 mile! Cant wait to start week two.
