  • I log food prepping, but because I don't do small, basic things when I cook. Everything is from scratch and done by hand, so I usually end up actually breaking a sweat (hey, you try kneading dough for four different things for like an hour and a half total). But if it's like, making some eggs and toast, that isn't worth…
  • Well, for me I would just die a horribly painful death. I have low blood sugar, I need my slow release carbs to stay alive and avoid going into shock. Really the only "low carb" I follow is low quick release carbs, things that spike your blood sugar and are linked to heart disease.
  • Yup! I like my vegetable soups and fish and rice, but you can bet I'm gonna eat some Oreos if if fits in my calories. I'm a guy that really loves sweets, most of my food is low sugar so I can enjoy the treats and not feel guilty.
  • Farmed, always. Just find it from a good, clean farm and you'll be perfectly fine. I'm personally very against wild caught fish, it disrupts the ecosystem, can harm animals that weren't meant to be caught, and actively decreases the populations that we've already hurt. Farm raised fish is meant to be eaten and has its own…
  • Volume for me, I love a massive bowl of soup or a salad with a lot of vegetables. I also try to eat my protein nowadays, before myfitnesspal I was eating about half of what I needed in a day- fish is my go to.
  • Just about everything. Awesome way to have a homecooked meal with very little fat just waiting for you. Curry, pork roasts, pasta sauce, broth, stews, I just love that thing.
  • I just use the base of the foods, honestly. I can log most things in their raw form, then just cook them however I please. If I use oil, I eyeball it and always round up. I also find it helpful to make recipes as single portions, especially small items. So while my recipe for wontons makes 46 and that serves like 6-7…
  • A little more elaborate, but I like to make a big batch of vegetable soup on Sundays and freeze it into individual portions. Microwave one portion in the morning, add some boiled noodles (or have a small bowl of rice), and pan sear a piece of fish from the freezer. Takes like 15 minutes total and it's really good.
  • As someone who is younger with PCOS, I can tell you flat out that almost any fancy diet will change nothing. The only things you should aim to avoid eating on a regular basis are soy and naturally purple foods, they're high in estrogen and testosterone respectively. You don't want to mess with your hormones any further.…
  • Soup! I LOVE homemade soup, I try to eat it at least 4 times a week, if not more and closer to 6 times a week. It's so filling because of the broth and you can make it really low calorie. For a whole breakfast, I'll have a piece of tilapia, two cups of homemade vegetable soup, and half a cup (dried) noodles in said soup.…
  • I don't cheat. I eat whatever I want every day, just so long as I don't go over my calories. Of course I tend to eat healthier because I can eat lots more and feel full, but if I want some Oreos, I'm gonna eat some Oreos.
