They gave me no diagnosis as they said ultrasound showed nada and they were perplexed then they left it and I’ve heard nothing since. I have been told before I over pronate. I also have quite splatty feet 😂 I think an mri or X-ray seems overkill and on the nhs they won’t do this. Bail tuck your story has provided me with…

Oh wow so his got better? I do over probate and had insoles and ASICS and tried lots of running shoes. My job involved standing years ago and I had a period of running and walking 15 miles a day some years ago... just worried it’s accumulated damage.

Not repairing repetition!
-
Excellent responses thank you. Qweck I can do repairing, my husband can’t though and it’s nice to have some variety and I very easily overeat carbs whether cauliflower or even cheese. This is really helpful advice as I’ll use your strategy for the week days and the diet doc for evening meals with the hub- inspired thank…

So cricket power interestingly my brain was almost on fire it lit up so much. Yet yesterday all these things were tempting but I could easily ignore... today all gone.

This is timely, 6 hrs sleep v tired get home from work a v v v stressful day (hindered by tiredness) I did not eat a small handful of almonds or one slice of cheese. I ate entire pack of cheese a pack of graze (In the U.K., not sure if had elsewhere?) 500 g bag and ... a naan bread a whole one. I actually made it initially…

I’ve only just seen this thank you sooooo much for sharing. Interestingly my acne cake after having children- only on my back and guess what went away when I eliminated all dairy. I like milk though and as it was on my back I wasn’t too bothered. I know, for me it absolutely was dairy cut out for three months and it…

You may be into something - it’s not my cycle - best time of the month for weight in that sense. Have massively increased exercise in contrast to Christmas period. Ie not cycling ten miles a day was doing nothing over Xmas...

Pls I also have postural hypotension

Ps I’m also in my 40s... noticing a mental slowdown (prior to keto)

Fantastic the question would apply to all thanks such encouragement! My motivation comes from hormonal issues (primarily) and tired during the day, I also have high dementia risk so cognitive effects useful. I also emotionally eat on carbs. I think one can do lots of research but there is nothing really valuable than info…
-
Just an obvious one here and I’m sure you’ve thought of it but you need more fluid during keto- are you drinking enough ? (Depending on your weight likely minimum 2 litres per day).
-
Thanks for the comprehensive answer. Have you really ever kept carbs below 5g (!!) I think I can relate to seeing ketosticks as good fun 😀 I do now and then just fancy chocolate or some kind do sweet treat that nuts just don’t crack (sorry had to use that). It sounds like you reallly have it sussed! I’m in awe. Can I ask…

Ooo thank you for sharing I’m on the U.K. so not sure if I can get here but will endeavour to find out.

Me too although the aitkins chocolate decadence doesn’t do this to me- all the other ones do though. Thanks for sharing that though as nice to know I’m not alone as I could never understand people who would have one biscuit them feel satiated I would be like “I’d rather not have the biscuit as all it would do is make me…

Yes logical. I think I will have them now and then as trying to stick to this and realistically it will happen at some point. I’m very into dark choc too so may just stick with 85%. Do you guys test for ketones?
-
Yep great replies what I suspected. I’m really in this for appetite control and hormones so suspicious they may increase blood glucose and I think realise likely something artificial isn’t going to be great. What do you all eat for breakfast ? I can’t stomach anything savoury (I have v early starts). Thanks for replying!!

Thanks for the responses! I noticed post breastfeeding many years ago my premenstrual tension got progressively worse and once I hit forty it was horrendous. Two weeks of my life (melodramatic but true) wiped out. I’d feel permanently angry, cramping, hard to concentrate at work and tearful - completely related to…

This is such great motivation thank you for sharing. Can I ask how long it took to see/feel the effects? Did you do low carb or keto? Red meats/saturated fats? It was so interesting that the consulate took suggested this as everyone else I speak to says healthy balalanced diet with lots of complex carbs which hasn’t helped…
