I just don't discuss it anymore. I would get eyerolls at the mention of low carb and very few people know what keto is around here. Now I just tell people I can't have stuff because it negatively impacts my blood sugar. They back off quick, nobody wants to be responsible for giving someone else the "sugar diabetes" :wink:

I think it varies per person. I'm of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mindset. I'll recalculate when things look like they are slowing down. Preferably before a plateau or stall.

Congrats on your loss so far! It is a little difficult to change your thoughts on some things. I still have moments where I have to remind myself that I can have something I used to avoid.

Your goals are sound and IF is good but you're not consuming enough calories to support your nutritional needs much less the exercise you're doing. If you stall I imagine it will be because of the low calories combined with exercise. Fortunately, you can make up those calories by adding in good sources of fat.

I agree with being strong and it works for me to a degree. But I've also found I have to be a little prepared. I had fat bombs in the freezer for times when the kids have something I want. I also use the mock danish, which if I cross my eyes just right ;) reminds me of cheesecake or custard. You could also look up low carb…

I've learned to have low carb snacks at hand. I carry them with me or in the car for times that the food choices around me are not that great. I have some automatic meals. Usually breakfast, sometimes dinner. Like Frutti, I'm teaching myself to find more low carb sides.

You may want to look for a long term downward trend instead of looking at your day to day weight. I also find taking measurements and pictures more useful than the scale sometimes.
