  • I had to go back and look for the info. All I could remember is that it never occurred to me that mag could be used as a laxative so it took me forever to find the citrate. Lyle McD recommends the citrate bc magnesium oxide (most commonly available) is poorly absorbed. So, it's possible you may still be deficient in mag.…
  • I use similar add ins as baconslave and I also use the flavored kcups
  • I use Lyle McDonald's recommendation of 4-500 magnesium citrate. The liquid can be found in the laxative area, not the vitamin area. Since it can have a laxative affect, your body will let you know if you've taken too much. Are you getting enough potassium too?
  • Congratulations!
  • I've tried ID and another sf brand and noticed it caused cravings for me. I would say watch close to see if you have any problems with it. Eta: I do not remember it kicking me out of keto. But I do remember narrowing down cravings for certain things to days when I used the sf creamer.
  • Congrats! :flowerforyou:
  • Your calories still seem a little low. Don't be afraid to use a smaller deficit. Keto is restrictive enough as it is without having to drop your calories really low.
  • http://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/ is a good calculator to help you figure out your macros. I track fiber too. http://www.reddit.com/r/keto/wiki/faq is a also a great resource
  • I went through my reports last night and the last sentence is not entirely true. When I went through it I was doing a little better at keep my carbs under control but over all my diary shows that I've been struggling. The emotional stuff did taper off. If anyone is struggling, go through your diary. You'll see what you…
  • Sounds like your right on track :) Remember http://www.reddit.com/r/keto/wiki/faq is your friend. Redidt also has keto recipes I also like genaw.com Caveman keto Cavegirl cuisine I breathe I'm hungry There are a lot of good blogs out there
  • I went through that. Probably around the same time. I don't have any studies to back it up but I suspected it must be about the time when people talk about becoming keto adapted. I was hoping that it was just my brain working it's way through the change over. I just kept my carbs at 20g and kept my fat up and kept on…
  • Great job! :flowerforyou: ETA: especially through the holidays!
  • Most of the above Van Halen Metallica
  • I can't help you out with the app, but the following link has a lot of really good information. http://www.reddit.com/r/keto/wiki/faq
  • I keep track of both. I try to eat between my bmr and tdee. I found that I feel bad if I don't eat enough and tracking calories helps with that. I also like using those two numbers as a calorie range. If I'm not that hungry I aim to hit my bmr target, on days that I'm hungrier I have all the way up to my tdee.
  • I have mine set at 1760 but my cals have been all over the place lately. I track so that I can keep an eye on my macros. I also figured out that I had the worst keto flu-like symptoms (irritability, brain fog, etc) on days when my calories were really low because I wasn't hungry.
  • The only reason I suggested tracking calories is because the days that I did not have enough calories or even carbs in by 2-3 pm are the days I experienced keto flu symptoms. I wasn't hungry so I wouldn't eat much and then I'd feel sick by that afternoon. If I hadn't been tracking then I would never have figured out that I…
  • I went to go look at your diary but it's closed. How many calories are you taking in? You also said that you're kind of easing in which is understandable. I more or less eased into keto too. I did notice when I had something particularly carby/sugary that I would feel hungry constantly. Even if it fit into my overall…
  • http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/just_like_stuffed_baked_potatoes.html I have never liked cauliflower and I was very reluctant to try this recipe. I absolutely love it and I have to fight my kids for leftovers
  • I'm loving all the individual serving recipes. They'll be useful when I don't quite have enough ingredients on hand. I use the coconut/ almond butter/ cocoa recipe but it makes 12 servings in my little silicone molds.
  • Well, I had typos all through that, didn't I? I used to weigh all the time too. Now it's just first thing in the morning after I use the bathroom.
  • You've given a lot of great advice. Your numbers (tdee and bmr) look better too. I just wanted to add that you may be experiencing Post Induction Stall Syndrome. http://www.reddit.com/r/keto/comments/x1ahg/the_what_should_be_added_to_the_rketo_faq_thread/c5ikek7 You've been through quite a bit in the past 5-6 weeks, you're…

  • Lmbo! I will be happy if I can just maintain what I've lost. You're right about the other thing though, my bank account is definitely looking slimmer.
  • I still use bmr/tdee as my guideline. Have you refigured yours since you've lost the 30 (awesome job btw ;)) I'm thinking the up and own is probably water weight and you could possibly be dealing with PISS right now. Don't give up! I've seen comments and posts about PISS lasting for a month or two followed by a whoosh.…
  • This week came and went with no change for me. Hope everyone has had a great week.
  • I have only been on keto long enough to have two. The first one my pms symptoms were outrageous. The second one snuck up on me. I am curious as to what the next one will bring.
  • I like the mock danish. Easy and so good.
