I think that any restrictive diet is doomed to fail. Like MrTee1985, I am just doing my own thing and am being successful. I call it the "Don't be a dumbass" eating plan. Probably not doing anything wrong. Even at your weight, you can fluctuate a few pounds every day due to factors like water retention, intestinal content, menstrual cycle, etc. What is your goal weight?

Thanks for the encouragement Steven and Disshitagen. One thing I forgot to mention is: get a partner! My wife and I are on this journey together, and my brother is participating as well. Our individual journeys and goals are different, but we are in it together to support and encourage. Get a supportive partner!

Getting started is indeed difficult, and it's the most difficult barrier to your success. The only way to overcome it is to get started. Go out, today, right now, and walk for 20 minutes. Do it again tomorrow. The next day ride a bike. Do it again. Rest a day or two. Rinse. Repeat. Improve. You got this!
