Just a quick update! I'm waiting for blood test results to check my hormone levels but new doctor seemed to think HA is most likely. Thanks to this thread I joined the Facebook group No Period, Now What? If you are in a similar situation, then I really recommend joining it. I feel like I was in denial 2 weeks ago when I…

Thank you for your reply! Yes I completely agree. I've had a few days to process all this new information and have decided to stop exercising for now and eat more. I was quite upset at the thought of this but it won't be forever where as the damage could last forever! It's reminding myself why I did all this exercise to…

Yes to this! Thank you for taking the time to reply. I am happy to eat more but losing exercise just feels like a part of me. It makes me happy and I do look forward to it each morning! It's just getting that balance right! I don't think eating more will have a huge effect as I've never fluctuated in my weight and always…

Thank you for your detailed reply! I am going to look at your site suggestions, that is such a great help. Really appreciate it!

Thank you for your replies. Sorry for forgetting the obvious! I'm 5ft 2in and just under 8 stone last time I checked but I don't have scales, as I just judge by how I am feeling and look instead. So if I'm still hungry then I will just eat more, I do prefer to eat healthy but I don't restrict the amount I have, if I'm…

I've been eating between 1700-1800 cals a day plus exercise cals. I workout six times a week was more cardio based but now more strength training-all at home. My Mac's are 50 % carbs, 30% fat and 20% protein. Ive never struggled with diet or weight. I use the app to make sure I'm getting enough protein as I'm not much of a…

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Balance is what I want to achieve. I know I need to listen to my body and yes, taking more oestrogen is like putting a plaster on it and that is not healthy either, so thank you for highlighting that. And of course it would probably bring on a different set of issues too. I want to…

Yes a different doctor this time. I feel silly too for not bringing it up. Who knew you could be too healthy?!

I'm so glad I found this post! I hope you have all had a healthy year and found a good balance. I went to the doctors last year because of irregular/non existent periods and they put it down to iron levels but didn't ask me about my lifestyle and I didn't think working out 6 days a week was connected so I didn't bring it…

*oops I meant even if weight training does not burn as much as cardio training!

I'm very similar and would prefer to underestimate than over estimate, but long term that won't do our bodies any favours! We should be logging something because even if cardio does not burn as much as weight training, we know it still burns something! And to recover properly and have enough energy for the next session we…

Glad it's not just me who has turned ravenous with strength training! I went from 200cals less a day target and doing cardio to maintaining weight target and eating extra 200cals a day and since then I'm always thinking of food! When does it subside?! My body looks great but think I was happier before when I wasn't…

Thanks guys! Portion control and looking at the big picture, that it is only 6 meals out of months of healthy eating! Thanks for your comments 😊

Thanks guys! Most days I have access to a microwave. Fab ideas!

Thank you for your replies. That's really helpful. I think a split would be better. I never thought of rest and recovery as different things. Which makes me feel better about running the day after a strength day.
