December already booked up with five Christmas meals out and an afternoon tea!

Instead of buying gifts, my different groups of friends go out for dinner instead. This year they are all three course meals including work parties too!

I'm usually good at picking the healthy options when eating out but these are set menus and apart from leaving pudding out, I'm definitely going to pile on the pounds! I want to enjoy myself and not worry but that's a lot of grub, especially even before Christmas day!

A lot of set menu meals are a little wishy-washy, even at great restaurants.

Be selective, if it is not knocking your socks off, taste and pass.

I end up doing way too many of these kind of things year round and just can't be bothered eating mediocre anymore.

Always leave room for dessert! Personal preference, though I will even abandon that if it is not up to scratch.

Just because there is a lot of grub, it doesn't mean you have to eat a lot. Enjoy yourself but keep reasonable portion sizes in mind.

    Cheers, h.

Thanks guys! Portion control and looking at the big picture, that it is only 6 meals out of months of healthy eating! Thanks for your comments 😊

Saying you're definitely going to pile on the pounds is telling a plate of food it has control over you.

Exercise portion control and you can get through the holidays without gaining.

    Best wishes.
