I think my husband is trying to sabotage me- he has a LOT of insecurities and I don't think he's doing it on purpose (I hope he's not doing it on purpose) He's not a big junk food junkie usually- aside from potato chips and cheetos- but all of a sudden (since I've lost 10 lbs and have exhibited a ton of self control that I…

Oh! I forgot to mention my latest NSV- my "skinny" jeans are getting too loose! Time to treat myself to a new wardrobe! And this is just from a 10 lb weight loss! So excited to see what happens when I lose more!

I feel your pain! I only made it a year in that soul-crushing business. It's also the reason I hit my highest weight of 330 (grabbing fast food in between appointments, office parties with LOTS of junk food, etc) I couldn't believe the weight that was lifted off my shoulders when I resigned!

Binge eater/former bulimic here. As soon as I get up in the morning, I'm already planning dinner. I stick to my budget for most of the day, but by the time I get off work, I'm starving and scarfing down everything in sight.i sent you a friend request.

No. The products are worthless and the company is an MLM (multilevel marketing aka pyramid scheme). I have a friend who is a "promoter " - I have seen firsthand that the products don't work.

I had the same probelm- I wouldn't see a change in the scale (or an increase) and I would get discouraged, think "I'm never going to lose weight" and I'd give up. I am much happier weighing in and measuring once a week. I do, however, weigh daily just to keep an eye on my fluid retention because if it gets out of control,…
I understood the serving size on the pkg was an ok guide.. Do i need to weight all my food even veggies?
Not always. One day I was curious if the serving size was right on a package of a "100 calorie " snack package- it wasn't. The weight in grams of the package was 15 grams more than the serving size. I…

I agree. Also, you should measure yourself. I gained a couple of pounds and felt very discouraged, but when I took my measurements, I had lost inches, which is way more important to me than the actual weight loss number. I suggest an app- I have one called Body Measurement Tracker (for Android) and I'm pretty sure there…

Aside from the serious reasons- better health, joints are giving out, etc- I have an EX-bestfriend who has always outweighed me by at least 150 lbs- well, now she has lost some weight and when I see her I hear her snide remarks about how I've gained weight since high school (come on now- its 20 years and 3 kids later, she…

@Theoldguy1 Apparently you missed the part where I said it covers pills and gastric bypass, and you must have missed the part where I said I don't want pills and I would not be eligible for the bypass. I'm paying premiums so that other people have the right to those options, so why shouldn't they pay for me to have the…

I think health insurance companies should be made to offer free or discounted gym memberships. My husband is on disability, so he gets free Medicare, which offers free gym memberships. However, I am paying through the nose for health insurance at work just for myself, and the only weight loss they pay for is either…

I think we're confused because 10,000 steps is SUPPOSED to be only 500 calories burned- but what weight, fitness and activity levels are they basing that calculation on ?
-
Yes. I think it's that maybe MFP is only sending caloric info and not specifics. Every once in a while it will be specific- maybe what we log in MFP isn't in Fitbit's data base.

I have depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, bone spurs and arthritis. All of these make it hard for me to get up and just move, let alone exercise and lose weight. At the same time, exercise and weight loss will help relieve some (maybe all) of these. All I can say is to just get up, move and try to do something even if it's…

I feel your pain. I had a dr. that tried to tell me that I didn't have a kidney infection- I pulled a muscle in my back because I'm fat. 2 months later, I'm in the er with a kidney on the verge of rupturing. Needless to say, shes not my dr anymore.

I make my own at home almost every day. In the past I noticed drinking more coffee causes me to eat less. I dont know if its and appetite suppressant for me, or if I just allowed more calories to go to coffee.

Here in NC some cities have banned them. I'm not sure who you would complain to- Chamber of Commerce or DOT maybe?
