  • carriestrine Weigh in Fridays PW: 202.8 lb CW: 200.4 lb LTD: 33.6 lbs A great week again, finally, after all that flip-flopping. Striving to hit my updated calorie limit seems to have helped me break through.
  • Hi everyone, and welcome to all of those new to the thread! August has been an interesting month for me. I hit 30lbs lost, which is a huge milestone but now my progress had stalled. I also started the month thinking I would reach onederland, but it was pretty clear mid-month that I wouldn't. I realized last week that it…
  • Hi Everyone! Excited to meet any new team members! I started my journey in March at 234lb, and have so far lost over 30lbs. I had slowly gained weight my whole adult life, and tried MFP before unsuccessfully. A switch flipped for me (thanks covid), and I'm saying "no more" to my emotional eating and poor stress management.…

  • Welp, after reading up a bit about this months intense plateau action I realized I have lost enough that I needed to have MFP reset my calories to continue my 1.5lb per week goal. Sure enough it is 100 calories less, and I'm already finding it very difficult to hit the new calorie goal. And, I'm hungry which means I need…

  • carriestrine Weigh in Fridays PW: 205.8 lb CW: 207.0 lb LTD: 27 First week over week gain since March, very, very discouraging. Its my TOM, so maybe its water retention, but I suspect it is in combination with my progress generally slowing. I need to do some serious thinking about what's going wrong. This puts me off track…
  • I love that there are so many runners in this group! I have not yet picked back up running, but the last time I was at this weight back in 2013 I was a daily runner. Would love to get back in the habit, and it feels possible again! Currently I've been doing spin for cardio. Nothing beats a run outside with an excellent…
  • Hi Everyone! So excited to meet all of the new team members. I started my journey in March at 234lb, and have so far lost over 25lbs. I've slowly gained weight my whole adult life, and tried MFP before unsuccessfully. A switch flipped for me, and I'm saying "no more" to my emotional eating and poor stress management. My…

  • I love a good challenge! I'm already pacing down another lb this week, but I'm committed to making this a 2lb week. Here's how I'm going to do it: NO MORE EXCUSES! - "too stressed from the workday to do anything in the evening"... instead of giving up, I'm going to sweat it out. - "Too hangry to wait for a meal"...Im going…

  • @beshamama if you enter the recipes under my recipes and meals it will save them for you! I find this annoying too, but after awhile I built up a real library of added recipes from my cookbooks that I don't usually have to add them anymore. I add one or two new a week. MFP also lets you import from recipe websites. My…
  • carriestrine PW: 211.0 lb CW: 209.8 lb LTD: 24.2 lb @cre804 Im so sorry about your daughter! I hope she feels better soon. Ive been hearing about many people experiencing this same thing with covid a second time or maybe it didnt fully go away. My NSV this week is that my clothing...including the stretchy workout kind...is…
  • @nazah_sakin i love some of @kiay131982 suggestions... lots of ways to learn how to satisfy the craving in a healthy way: Can you have one, light meat piece of fried chicken with a vegetable filled salad? Or what if its not about the chicken, could you have a lower calorie fried veggie or fritter instead. Sometimes on the…
  • Im hooked! Username: carriestrine
  • I have a peloton bike and use the app. I am hooked, and I credit most of my 25lb loss since March to the purchase. My inner goth girl LOVES Christine D'ercole's dark wave rides, but also the interval training method she uses always seems to push me to a personal best. I also am an Emma Lovewell fan. Cody Rigsby is great…
  • @kiay131982 what a win for it to be time in your journey to make this shift, and congratulations on hitting pre-baby weight! Looking forward to hearing what you learn! @kstpierre52020 I love your idea of just auditing some days a week.

  • New week, new beginning! Im back to work after our move, and settling in. The theme of this weeks goals: don't backslide into old habits. 1 - exercise 4 days (1 strength training), keep active the other 3 days. 2 - cook meals at home! I ate enough takeout last week for a month! 3 - stop working at lunchtime
  • Back to work today, and about 80% unpacked at the new house. Ready to make sure my routine and habits don't slip backwards! This weeks goals include: 1- exercise 4 days (1 strength training), and maintaining some activity the other 3. 2 - Cook all meals at home. I had enough takeout for a month last week.

  • @Beka3695 its so cute, like natural bayalage!!!
  • @Cerizez thanks so much for the tip and for the ted talk! Love to watch a ted talk, always inspiring!! Counting calories helps me now as I'm learning, but it feels obsessive... I want to "rewire" my brain! Haha!
  • @Be_theBest_Me I'm moving this weds/thursday too! Worried this week is going to be... a challenge.
