as opposed to an ignorant weight loss formula? 🧐

just a suggestion- if you buy the “logs” of whole milk mozarella, you'll have to shred them yourself, but they taste way better than the shredded low fat, and are similar calories. When I’m feeling lazy, I’ll just cut them into little chunks and spread them around the pizza- Works fine.

actually there’s a workaround. You have to be “friends”. If you want just the total, the other person can save it as a recipe if you want specific individual ingredients, the recipe has to be saved as a meal I no longer even use the recipes function meals are much easier to edit, to copy to edit without ruining the…

go to grocery store and look for Taylor Farm stir fry or salad kits. Dice chicken breast into small cubes, brown in a hot, nonstick pan with no oil. Either add the stir fry kits to the browned chicken and cook til crispy tender (I add a little water to the pan rather than oil) and serve. Or, put the browned chicken over…

you should be able to go to the tab and just type the first few letters of it to find it instantly. Mine are all in order entered. I don’t think there’s an alphabetical sort option, but the search does essentially the same thing.

no experience, but sending many hugs and warmest wishes your way! 😘

Welcome to MfP @rodbrown2021159 well there’s the rub. For some users it does seem to change it automatically, but not for others. It’s been a subject of conjecture here I update mine every so often. To do it, simply go to the goals tab and make sure everything is current: current weight, goal weight, goal per week,…

agree with @yirara shakes and powders have no mystique, no magic powers. Sure, you might have a fast loss, but chances are high you’ll regain when you start eating solid food. Unless you see a liquid diet as a permanent solution? Food you can chew is more satisfying and satiating. I do occasionally make a smoothie, but…

I haven’t been impressed with the meal kits. I don’t care for all the single or small packet servings of sour cream, salad dressings, shredded cheese, seeds, croutons, spices etc. When I’ve made them for the kids when visiting, I just feel like I have a big pile of trash. Plus the delivery boxes and sometimes coolant. I’m…

MFP discontinued the newsfeed last June. There’s no way to see other folks progress or share your own, short of posting here on the boards. “Friends” no longer serve any real purpose, since you have to private message each friend individually, and the, most users aren’t up for that. The last 11 friend request I’ve gotten…

I visited a “tech driven city in the desert” one time. It was a self contained dome/self supporting greenhouse that was an epic fail, and because a tourist oddity.

welcome to MFP @trudijoysnyder don’t feel conflicted. We’re all here for similar reason- the need to monitor or weight, whether too much, too little, or recomping for various reasons. I’ve found zero judgement here, only support. I had a similar goal to lose 100, eventually settling on my wedding day weight as a goal. I…

I think it’s intriguing. There’s def people here who lack, and I hate to use these terms but people don’t know how to cook these days, the skill, the knowledge, or the impetus to get started. One of my girls is very much into Hello Fresh, and she’s a brilliant cook, an artist whose art carries over to her presentation.…

@BCLadybug888 Woot!!!!! Yay, you!!!!!! I’m flying home this morning. Will sorely miss my daily quarkini and Milch kaffe. Home for a day and a half, then heading off on another international trip, without the husband. This time I'll be in an isolated area so I’ll be bringing my own, controllable snacks, a portable water…

Planned to spend 12 days helping a family member move into a new home in a rural European town. Ended up spending almost a month. Typically on a two week trip, I go nuts and come back 20,000 or so calories above goal. This trip, which was twice as long as normal, including flight today (I’m an airport nosher), I expect to…

I spent the night at the airport. Airports and airplanes (mentally) make me wildly snackish, so I wandered into the airport grocery store and bought a chocolate caramel Cornetto to eat on top of the pizza I’d just devoured a few minutes earlier. Cornetto’s are similar to American Drumstick ice cream cones, a pre-made cone…

my absolute favorite skeezy ad so far: you gotta admit. It certainly grabs your attention.

🤦🏻♀️ I never thought of scooping one out, and hate peeling stuff, so have always avoided them. New use for the grapefruit spoons I just got. Thanks!

@AmunahSki my first thought was the gals looked just alike!

I use an aeropress to brew, and would add a sprinkle of cinnamon in the basket with the ground coffee to brew together. That was helpful, too.

It’s easy to interpret dehydration cues as hunger cues. If feeling peckish, drink a glass of water, wait a few minutes and see if the “hunger” has abated. Also, eat a nourishing meal or snack before you go grocery shopping. It really does prevent you from impulse purchases. I’ve asked my husband to get his chips out of the…

My breakfast every day for three weeks now. I think it qualifies as an obsession. Quarkini and milch kaffe. I walk the two miles round trip to the bakery to help offset some of the calories. I’m going to miss this so much. 😫

Keep an open mind, too. And open eyes. When I started, I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d reach my first goal. It my second. Or my third goal weight. As nutty as it sounds, I was so amazed and just smitten by my own awesomeness at succeeding, I got greedy. I thought my final goal ought to be my wedding day (mid…

hi @cware787 welcome to mFP. I’m betting you went to the beta thing that offers helpful suggestions to improve your nutrition. It’s got bugs. The number it shows won’t match what’s shown in your diary, even if you’ve found accurate entries. (At least, on iOS. I’m assuming if it’s could up on iOS, though, it’s folded up in…

two observations. Your salmon looks lovely and flavorful, and beautifully plated. Any chance you’ve had covid or other heath complications, medications, etc that could precipitate loss of taste? Second, and I don’t mean this negatively or hurtfully, you sound as if you might be suffering from depression. In fact, you sound…

welcome to the boards, @Maria1274mfp What a great loss! Love the beaming smile and confidence! Much continued success to you, and I hope you will post more often!
