Day 20. I am down 10.4 lbs and feel confident saying most of my water weight is gone... so the upcoming losses should be mostly fat. Losses will be slow from here forward but it's more targeted so my confidence is high. Still alcohol free, some working out here and there, not much ... but I'm on track. Hunger is an issue…

Stop trying to meal prep ... and just eat less portions of the same stuff. Accept that to lose weight you will feel hunger and embrace it. Just put less of the same food in your mouth. Don't bother exercising.

@joha5603 ... I never got a msg : / @whitpauly ...the last few days he seems 100%. Thanks for asking. Still red skinned, but no more blisters and his is mood is back to normal. And I am on day 19 which means i made it through the night.

@Kiki9871 ... day 4 is a great start. I'm on day 18 !! Let's stick it out as best we can at least through sober october. I cant sleep. Stressed... sad ... but determined. My life will be better than this one day. I just have to stay committed to the positive changes I am making.

Your body does not "get use to what you're doing" ... starvation mode is a total myth ... you're just still eating too much.

Understand that the first 2 weeks you're just losing water weight, not fat. And eat less. You see a water weight drop due to less carbohydrates and the glycogen reserves flushing water out as they get depleted. Burning fat is a long slow process.

If i hit my goals by April first I'm buying a new motorcycle. Goals: 6 months no alcohol 6 months no out to eat 12.5% bodyfat ( ~40lbs lost) Make the prize big enough that you'll never choose a Wendy's hamburger over the prize.

Fundamental: The idea that exercise is integral to weight loss is missguided. After my experimenting i have found if i eat breakfast I am hungry all day. I go as long as I can before breaking fast ... when I do i try to eat 1 ounce of nuts ... and make that last as long as I can before lunch. Lunch is whatever is leftover from dinner. Dinner is highly variable.
