You can create meals and recipes in the mfp app ... in diary, in a sub tab for each

Try wearing just one sock inside out instead of both. Seriously... I wish i could help... but it is worth mentioning at 5'7" ... 113lbs is pretty slim. Beyond "normal" if such a thing exists.
-
I remind myself that keeping your body temperature at 37 celsius curbs far far more calories than working out does .. and I embrace the cold

Years ago on my old account there was a girl I met on here and we got to texting ... like a lot, saying good morning and good night and stuff. ... she messaged and said she was going to pass through my town and asked if I wanted to meet up...get dinner... see about chemistry ... I did a reverse google image search on her…

I alllllmost didnt treadmill today. But i did it. Was it my best run ? No ... but I did it.
-
If you havent already seen it the Couch to 5k ( or 10k) program is very popular ... it'd get you most of the way there.
-
For me it definitely is harder for a while. My hunger ramps up way faster than my conditioning will allow me to burn. Last night I had a huge bowl of oatmeal and today I had ab epic treadmill day. I mean WAY above my normal. Felt pretty good. And I think I might be looking a tiny bit more muscular. Maybe it's just…

@Running2Fit "burned 3000 calories having a panic attack, frantic pace"

Here is my gym space .. it is due for a total remodel ... but I do believe there is room for the rowing machine as it is a very long narrow space:
-
I used to. Haven't in a number of years. Once upon a time I was very athletic ... cross country and swim team ... boxed in a league ... and yes, climbing... But that was a. ... LONG ... time ago.
-
So true .. why didnt I ever get bored of pizza and wendy's? This is not the first person I saw who went over "because mfp was down". ...I dont really understand it ... I went super conservative because it was down.
-
So much great information! Thank you all. I'm talking about remodeling the basement so the gym area is a whole room not a corner. I just cant do gyms I'm too self conscious and I hate driving. So as I plan my remodel I'll look at saving aside a grand for the c2. Thanks all.
-
I dont enjoy gyms ... historically I have found if I have to drive there... I just wont. (I went through 4 tanks of gas last YEAR so I'm kind of a shut-in) A grand was more than i expected though so I'll re evaluate and see. Thank you all for the great advice.

Ups and downs for me ... but the scale is going in the right direction: 10/01 - 186.0 lbs 10/08 - 182.6 10/15 - 177.8 10/22 - 174.4 10/29 - 174.0 11/05 - 171.4 I've had lower weights but those are my "Monday morning after pee" weights. Alcohol consumption has been detrimental ... and I need to work out more ... but…

Thank you Brian ... great advice. No I've never had an MRI or anything on it. It just hurts sometimes and other times it feels totally fine. Not a constant pain situation so I try to press through it when i can. I'll look into those machines. Going away from the brands/models ... what features did you find the most…

I also feel old and like i will "never look good again". As for advice? ... sorry I have none... just commiseration
-
Catching up on this thread... what is your height and current weight ?
-
As said before ... I WANT to lose the weight... but I want to keep big picture focus and be ready for my bulk as best as possible
-
Well this makes a lot more sense. I've been aiming for a 500 cal deficit off what mfp told me to eat. Huh. As for activity levels ... office job (engineer) ... some working out and jogging but nothing crazy. I put not very active.
-
I so deeply appreciate the constructive advice and well thought out replies. I'm going to add a protein shake at night and see how it changes. (Whey protein, peanut butter powder, whole milk)
-
I WANT to lose the weight ... I just worry about losing muscle and screwing my planned bulk.
-
Only thing i can figure is i put not active but I am active. I do not eat my exercise calories back. Here is the chart in a 2 month axis:
-
The thing is I'm eating a 500 cal deficit so I dont know why it's such a stark loss.
-
I credit i.f. for making it easy to eat 1300 cals in a day.
-
I guess I need to say "yes its 17 lbs in 33 days ... but its 10 lbs of water" So more like 7 lbs in 33 days which is what I could expect if I just kept everything the same. And is reasonable.
-
I tend to eat at 2 or 3 and again 7 p.m. ... I dont time it i just play every day by ear
-
No no that's just how much it takes to feel "full" for me. I eat about 1300 to 1600 a day ... 2 meals and a snack/protein shake
-
Back to the original subject... which I hope my first post was clear but perhaps was not... so to expound: Personally i do IF because once dinner comes around ... I can't really eat more than 700 calories without feeling stuffed. I've never been a breakfast guy ... being hungry leading into lunch is annoying but I get by.…

@jemhh ...I love this! I tell ppl at my office to stop obsessing over weight loss and start talking about fat reduction. ... but it's hard to directly measure : / it's easy to see scale changes. I'm guessing I just lost a larger than expected amount if water weight. I havent been THAT deficit. And I'll focus on nutritious…

I believe CICO is dogma ... but "calories burned" is quite complicated. Around 85% of calories we burn are from digestion and homeostasis. A fever burns more calories than jogging. Humans are VERY efficient at things like walking. More walking makes a teeny tiny difference in calories burned. Gut microbes and microbiome in…
