Yes i struggle with the same thing. Very low seasonal energy ... lots of snuggling up on the couch (and of course with snacks!) The remedy ? I hate this but all I know if force yourself to eat less and push through. If you find an easy fix let me know...

^^ good point ... and lifting some weights don't take too long really. I have a (gym is too strong a word) fitness area in my basement and the cobwebs in it are depressing. I'll have to get it all clean this weekend! Thanks for the motivation.
-
This is me too! Motivation comes from the TEAM feeling, not the # of friends. Anyone please do add me. I'm super active and I want to stay that way

He has a staph infection covering about 50% of his body. It is blistering and painful. Heartbreaking really. He is only 10 months so he doesn't understand and just screams and screams when I have to clean him. It has been very emotionally taxing. Dr. said yesterday in a week he will be mostly back to normal.

@steveko89 ...thank you so much for your insight! I will delve into the subreddit this weekend. To expound on my reasoning a bit: The alcohol has been a crutch for me for a long time, basically drinking from after work till bed time ever day ... so the quitting and cleanse is my #1 goal as of now. Concurrent to weight loss…

@elisa123gal Thanks for coming by! ... yeah I know the extremes are unsustainable. I'm hoping after this 6 months I will be ready to eat maintenance calories and do lifting etc just as everyone is ramping up for "summer bod". Having a huge grand prize at the end also helps to focus on. "Do you want that hamburger... or a…

Well we are both trying to lose the same amount of weight! I wouldn't wait much longer before hitting it hard ... that's already a pace of 1.75 lbs a week, and you have to account for the holidays which are bound to make eat less a struggle for all of us. Jogging a 5k is no joke! Are you doing any training as of right now ?

My son has been very sick. And he just cries and cries. Thursday night I only got 2.5 hours sleep. One of the things I most looked forward to about quitting drinking was feeling better in the mornings. And my mornings have been a huge struggle... this morning was the first one that felt different. I woke up without my…

Well for one: Losing weight is a thermodynamic equation. Eat less calories than you burn. For someone on a heart pump with basically no activity... I could see 1200 cals being realistic. I am unsure about how much your weight adds I know it adds some. But the good news is you can gain weight, lose weight, or maintain…
-
@bvff35 ... what are your goals ? Do you have a specific diet you follow ? Thanks for stopping in!
-
Thanks guys. I have a sick baby so he cries a lot. It is very draining. I do catch naps where I can.

ISN to get on the treadmill.

"Hey! ...This looks good on me!" (clothing)

53 and rain here (midwest) ... sick baby .. 2.5 hours sleep... craving junk food HARD. Lunch:

@flutterby_quartz ...it depends on your personality I think. If you see the scale go up and get discouraged; dont weigh in as often. If you see it bouncing around and get anxiety, dont weigh in as often. I'm am engineer, so I actually weigh every morning...but I know any ONE weigh in is meaningless... I do statistical…

@Colleen_1168 ... thanks for stopping in! It's like I know I should drink water but I want something strong tasting. I just found this monk-fruit sugar substitute and have been making lemonades with it and its zero calories and amazing! Im usually very sensitive to the fake taste of sugar substitutes and this one i really…

I am always my lightest friday morning ... but I can start recording on sundays!

Running on 3 hours sleep (sick baby) ... at work early... where is the coffee ...

@danielleedwards018 ... it's just some cheap NY strips from costco. I rub them in salt then cook at 700 degrees on cherry wood until seared and rare. The key is hot enough that is Sears while staying rare, and fresh ground pepper right as it goes on: The white circles are WHISPS ... a one-ingredient food with 10g fat, 13g…
-
@Jabeth87 ... for me, Imthe only way i can stay with it is if i set a grand prize at the end. Something to think about how much i want it more than :: insert temptation here ::

Today is day Ten, and here are my victories and shortcomings. Victories: #1 Ten days alcohol free. Double Digits, Yay! consensus on Sober Squad is the tenth day is the worst, so let’s hope I’m cresting the hump. Every day is still hard. #2 I’m down 5 lbs. #3 I bought and am using a food scale ! Zero out to eat lunches…

Every morning after I pee.

@brightsideofpink ... I brought it as home specifically so the food would photograph better... So thank you for noticing! My nephew has a nut allergy, but not as serious as your son's. So sorry for you two : ( @Heather_Norwood ... well now you have a great group of friends to vent at when the hunger starts to ramp up!
-
@Heather_Norwood ...the ugly truth no one wants to say: if you're not hungry at least some of the time, you're eating too much : ( It's lunch time for me... I had an 800 calorie deficit yesterday so today I get extra meat. The pre-planned lunch worked perfect as my office mate is eating burger king.
-
@brightsideofpink ... I LOVE frittata ... does it microwave well ? My re heat options are limited at work, and I thought eggs got weird in the microwave (never tried that I can recall)
-
@dlm4mom I am also a huge fast food addict... especially french fries!

I hit double digits! (10 days)

I used to be really into hiking. I wore lineman's boots at work all day. in 2010 i injured my ankle on a hike and the PT told me because i wore big rigid boots all day the muscle around my ankle never got built up. over the next year i wore below-the-ankle shoes whenever possible and in 2011 i hiked 2700 miles from Mexico…

20 lbs by end of year is a huge push! But good luck. What diet/routine do you use ?

Back on topic ... I decided to do some meal prep and plan my lunches for the rest of the week. I'm aiming for 3 ounces of lean steak, 1.5-2.0 ounces of nuts and some form of cheese (about 1.5 ounces) I am happy with the amount of rare as these will ve sliced thin for lunches and served with a mustard: Test piece!
