I think it's once it makes it onto our plate, like it would be veges after the water had been drained.

I'm just wondering if it's normal to be able to put away so much food? Like how much do healthy people who have never had a weight problem eat when they indulge? I feel like they would stop long before me. My sister once said to me that a skinny person might only eat 4 cups of food a day, while I was putting away 16.

I feel like my appetite is smaller? I just might be eating more often.

I think you look good! I wouldn't lose more weight.

I'm not testing my blood sugar. I'm going to get another blood test in 3 months.

The Healthy Food Guide for New Zealanders recommends UP to 25g of sugar per day for adults. I guess you can eat way under that. Myfitnesspal intially recommended 50g a day, then it went up to 100g for some reason.

Is their an opposite to this where people try to eat as little as possible on their 2000 calories? I'm trying to shrink my appetite. (Plus, I don't think I can afford to buy big loads of food).

I started taking metformin with the hopes of weightloss, and then got my dose doubled, and it hasn't made any difference to my weight. My sister took it and lost about 30kg, but I found out later she stopped buying fast food and started eating smaller portions.

Ran for 3 minutes, tracked my food

I want to be more attractive than my bullies. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm ever going to have a nice body because I don't like strength training.

How much you can eat or what you can eat, and still lose weight or maintain it. Everyone is constantly questioning my choices which is super annoying. I'm tempted to start a thread about it, unless someone has a link to one? My mom said to my doctor, "it's like she's living in two seperate worlds, one where she wants to…

I got subway today, and I couldn't finish a footlong.

Thank you to everyone who has commented so far 🙂. I would type longer responses but I no longer have a computer.

I just thought it was calories in, calories out.anything else is secondary. They also stressed the importance of breakfast, even though many people successfully fast?

And I mean, I can't ever go back to how I was eating before the high blood sugar, but I can go back to having some sugar/carbs. Just in moderation.

It's not, because I don't like to get all hot and sweaty, I chaff and I hate wearing sunscreen or getting burnt. I do love the longer days though. I tend to sleep in so I can't walk the dog early in the morning, and in the evening, it's not always cool enough to walk. Daylight savings is over next month, so I'll be able to…

I'm 31 and living in Christchurch, New Zealand. I need to lose about 55kg.

I wish I could do this, but I lack the motivation. Plus, I keep getting injured. Doesn't help I'm close to 120kg!

I got it too, and I don't drink much at all (maybe every 6 months?)

Last birthday I had bagels with cream cheese and salmon for breakfast, Indian for lunch and Mexican for dinner. The year before that, I had a big breakfast (bacon, eggs, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, english breakfast tea, hashbrowns etc), ribs for lunch and kids platters for dinner. Both years I had a high tea…

They said that I would have to go private if I wanted to see a dietician :-( I had a 20 minute chat with the nurse, and she basically said I needed to do 30 minutes of moderate exercise a day (would make me breathe heavier) and she gave me a pamphlet about diabetes with foods that were labelled red for stop, orange for…
