Thank you! Just wanted informed opinions like so. I have zero knowledge when it comes to any of this so wanting to find out what’s true and what’s nonsense. I’ll keep to counting calories and exercise, it’s been working but as I say, has slowed.

Just keen to change things up a bit because my weight loss has slowed up! And someone in work mentioned it, thought I’d ask around and see if it’s a thing or not.. doesn’t seem to be!

Apparently the constant changing “confuses” the metabolism which raises it, therefore you’re burning more fat.. so loosing weight! But I don’t know if it’s a load of rubbish, wanting to know if anyone’s given it a go and if it works!

So great to hear everyone’s goals! It makes it more real to know there’s people in a similar position - we can do this! :) I’ve tried and failed so many diets and weight has just kept creeping up! Determined to do it this time, not just for a wedding date but for life like @cocorhum says!

Thanks everyone! Feeling motivated to get searching for new recipes :) Tonight was roasted butternut squash salad with sunflower seeds, spinach and feta! A new one in our house so it just helps to keep the motivation up. Thanks for all your suggestions! :)

Wow thank you so much everyone!! So much amazing advice, we’ve read through it all and are feeling really motivated. I think we’ll definitely start small - work our way up to a couple of hours brisk walking before we tackle the hills. We’re really lucky in that there’s loads of trails which are so we’ll sign posted and…

Thank you very much! I’ve tried the c25k app and felt like I was dying during my first attempt and then gave up so will try it again in a better mind set :)
