It may take you a while to figure out which one works best for you so don't get discouraged. There are SOOOO many different types out there that you just have to try them all. We've had family here all week so I haven't been able to run all week! UGH! It's so much harder to go back and run with so many days in between! BOOOO!!!! Supposed to do 25 min today but I think I might re-do Week 6 Day 2.

I really need to get outside and run. I'm planning on doing the disneyland 5K this summer. I haven't run outside in forever and I know it's sooooooo different than the treadmill.

Just checking your heart rate won't help you figure out your calories burned. I think she means to get a heart rate monitor that will calculate what you are burning while you are working out for you.

Oi.....Week 6 Day 2 COMPLETED. It was a HARD run for sure. I made it through both 10 min runs. Now the rest of the runs are all over 25 min! AHHHHHHHH!!!

I've been on MFP since Oct 2008 with almost 1500 posts and you can't even begin to imagine how frustrating it is to see the same thing OVER and OVER and OVER again. I was finally able to go back and run on Wed. I did the two 5 min and 1 8 min run (week 6 day 1). Definitely wasn't ready for the 2 10 min runs. Gonna try to do the 10 min ones today. Wish me luck! Taking so much time off because I was sick really set me back a little! The run on Wed was ROUGH!

Alright.....I finally was able to get back out and run after this stupid never ending cold! I had to repeat Week 6 Day 1 just to get back in the swing of things. Ugh! IT WAS TOUGH! Friday will be day 2 which is two 10 min runs with a 3 min walk inbetween. I'm a little scared.

I teach at a high school and while I do have access to a microwave I rarely have the time to use it. For lunch I usually take some low fat cheese, apples, strawberries, a turkey sandwich, baked cheetos, and some almonds or walnuts. The only time I would suggest getting an expensive one is if it's going to be used a lot like in a physical therapy clinic. If you are using it at home the cheap ones are fine. The one I have at home right now was like 9 bucks at Walmart and works just fine.

I run about 3 times a week for 30-40 min and then on the days that I am not doing that I have been trying the tabata protocol on the bike. It's pretty crazy how much you feel it for only doing a small amout of work. The week that I started doing that it budge the scale outta a plateau. Try looking it up.

I was on week 6 and then I got this nasty cold that is just starting to finally go away. I'm hoping to get back out there this week. Probably gonna have to go back to week 5 for a day or two to get ready for week 6.

I make my own ranch with the hidden valley ranch dry mix packets. You can control which type of mayo goes in to it and what kind of milk. I use fat free milk and low fat mayo. It taste just like normal ranch to me.
