Great post. My holiday indulgences started at Thanksgiving. I logged breakfast and lunch but not dinner. And I am up 4 lbs. Not terrible, but it would be so easy to continue on this track. Don’t want to do that. So, back to logging everything and increasing water intake. Perspective and Patience is key, for sure!

@PAV8888 thank you, I am getting there slowly, and will keep tracking my calories.
-
@kshama2001 thank you. I will continue to track calories and not worry too much!

@ quiksylver296 I do weigh everything. And my protein powder is usually under lol. Pita bread on point. Feta cheese weighed to the point of putting a crumble back if I go over the ounce. And as I stated above, I am losing weight. Not the issue. Just wondering about body fat %. And sugar. And I will continue to be vigilant…

@LegendaryOrange Thank you!
-
@LegendaryOrange my macros are what ever mfp has given me. I am usually over on fiber fat and protein by a hair, as well. Some days my sugar is fine.

@AnnPT77 I am set to lose 1 per week, at lightly active. 1250 calories. I eat about 1/2 my calories back if at all. I do eat added sugar at times, too(ice cream). I still toy with the idea of not logging exercise and just doing the tdee/bmr formula. My bmr is 1330, tdee is 1831. If I reduce at 20% I’d get 1465per day,…

@WholeFoods4Lyfe I used the method which is in the must read section of this discussion group

Yes, I weigh everything. And i have been losing weight 26 lbs since January 8. Just disappointed that body fat % is high.
-
@samuelgina91 My body fat percentage is still in the 30’s as I was very heavy through my middle. I am still in the overweight BMI range as well. So I have some work to do! I do strength training 2x a week and walk every day. I don't plan to change that, other than perhaps adding another day of strength. I consider myself a…

Have used labels, yes. Thanks to all for the information, advice, and encouragement!

^^^I took it as a stall occurring after losing for 6-12 months(which I am in ); not a stall that is lasting 6-12 months😳

Thanks for the replies and well wishes. Regarding the usda site that was copied and pasted above; lol I must be missing something, as I could not find calorie info. I do look up calories on a lot of my foods as I don't trust mfp data base, Guess this journey is not an exact science and I will come to to terms with that .

Congrats on your weight loss! I am headed to Disney in 10 days!! With almost the same weight loss stats: 25 lbs in 6 months. Yay us!! My plan is to eat sensibly, drink just water, try to log as best I can, and walk alot. We have been going to Disney for many years a few times a year. This is the first time I have gone…

Thanks all for your replies and good information!

Thanks for your reply! I did reduce to .5 per week and it puts me at 1510 plus exercise calories. That is same as tdee calculations but no exercise calories. I’m now confused about which direction to pursue lol.

Goes not go

Thanks, and that is one of my concerns that i am eating less than my bmr, however, there are days it go way over so maybe it balances out. So my thinking is to just focus on calorie intake knowimg my exercise stays the same, and the calorie burn isnt huge. If my tde is 1850 ish then maybe 1500 is a good # to continue with?…

Thanks all! Onward and upward- I mean downward.🙂
-
Change on activity makes my tdee even higher.
-
I exercise daily; 50 minutes strength training /cardio 3x per week, and brisk walking daily 40 minutes on average.
-
That makes sense. Would I change my calorie and weekly loss goal though, as I have lost some weight?
-
I reposted this in the general discussion thread.
-
Some days I do. Others I don’t.

Thanks for all the replies, and great info/advice! I did say though it may have not been clear that I had upped my calorie intake. Though there are days I don’t hit that. My tdee is 1888, bmr is 1371. That is why I upped my goal. Thanks again.
